Default Appliance that uses no electricity

I am considering to equip my kitchen with appliance that uses no electricity (manual appliance).

What would you recommend? To replace food processor, juicer, blender, to make nut butter etc.....

    Thank you!

alot of people like these . i had one and a few things i liked , a few design flaws i didnt like . but the auger / screen are a good design and i believe it would be an efficient juicer , plus its solidly made . i didnt like the small base you clamp to counter . base should be larger with rubber feet so dont slide and dont need clamp . the handle goes all the way to counter making it neccesary to have handle turn out over edge of counter so dont hit hand on table , stupid design . there were a few other things i cant recall . i was split on wether to use it or return . what happened is i never used it and just returned brand new to amazon because i wasnt 100% satisfied with design , but im very critical of designs and could fathom how majority would like this because the auger / screen system should produce well . which at youtube it does in a john kohler vid i'll link when have time : http://www.amazon.com/Tribest-Z-510-...s=zstar+juicer

It's tricky. Delmar started a thread about it and there was some input on bicycle powered machines.

I am very interested in this subject and think the way to go is with solar panels. Do you have sun where you live? A simple kit is not very much money and you could use your existing machines.

For a juicer I totally recommend a Lexen Healthy Juicer. We have it and love it. The suction cup on the bottom holds in firmly to our counter, we don't use the clamp at all. The feeder tube is fairly large compared to others I've seen. It's easy to assemble and disassemble, and easy to clean. It also juices lemons and limes (with skins on), pineapple (with skin cut off), carrots, oranges, apples and probably a lot more!

It's definitely very good. The only thing I have had trouble juicing is sprouts. The heavier ones are worst and I haven't tried alfalfa but I don't use it to juice sprouts - mostly use it for juicing microgreens.
