    As Kulvinskas has always said. `sproutarianism is about being thrifty...you don't need all the fancy equipment...all you need is old pots and pans and containers'. You can use almost anything.

    Thrifty is ideal. We have shops that sell cooked pickled cucumbers. I encourage all my friends to buy them then give me the jars when they have finished. I also live just up the road from a wholesale bottle and jar company :) I also shop at a place where they sell factory over runs for pennies. I get lots of gardening things for free off freecycle
