Hi I hope someone can help me, my wheat berries have this sour smell after a day or so and won't sprout and if they do, very feeble shoots.
I bought a big bag 4 weeks ago and when I went use them recently I noticed some black beetle kind of bugs, maybe weevils.
I emptied the bag on the patio in the hot sun and as they crawled away brushed them up and fed them to te fish.
I have had great success with these wheat berries from the same supplier. I grew them in cooler weather though and a different country. I am currently in Vietnam and the water is underground water.
