It's all weeds for me today. Pig weed (wild amaranth), plantain and a little bit of fox tail. Very very green! I did dilute it with water. I really like the way the pig weed goes through the manual juicer. I could set the juicer so it turns a little harder but leaving a little moisture in it leaves some good food for my birds.

We like it well enough I guess and it's easy to grow but it's not what I'd call exciting cuisine. I find juicing generally quite disappointing and I sort of felt that green juices, even if they didn't taste as good as fruit juices would make me feel a bit zingier if only for a few minutes but they don't.

Kale-Apple! My favorite juice of the moment! Cuz it makes me do this:

They're not magic...actually, I'm not so sure about that. But the point is that you'll only feel the extraordinary effects if you get real cleaned up inside and have large amounts, and after a while then you'll start really feeling amazing benefits. You can't just drink a piddly 2 oz here and 2 oz there and complain that you're not feeling any different. That's like eating half a strawberry and complaining you're not feeling the benefits of raw!
32 to 40 oz of fresh green sprout juices is where it's at, and that's the amount that will completely change your life and start making you feel amazing even if the rest of your diet is pathetic devitalized store-bought produce.

I am new to juicing and I love it already. I bought a Breville Juicer about a month ago after research and watching a couple of documentaries like Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead as well as King Corn and Forks over Knives.
I've already lost weight...today I wore my pre-pregnancy jeans for the first time in ten months. My question is does anyone know about how much money they spend on produce per week in order to juice 80 ounces per day? It seems like I'm spending lots of money but it's totally worth it. Thanks

I started my morning off with carrot, celery and cucumber juice. Was it ever good too.
It's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

Fresh orange juice...so refreshing! Especially when it's 115 degrees outside!

And that's where they really do fall down livingfood, because I don't want to have to live on green juices. I don't want to have to be a sprout or green juice evangelist.

I'm in a hotel in Brazil (Sao Paulo) and we have a breakfast included. Turns out the buffet table is full of platters of fruit!!! All of the juices were freshly made - papaya juice, orange juice and some others.
So my juice today was papaya! It was lovely. Not sweet, a little thick but simply delish!

You don't have to; as long as you juice a few glasses a day you can get away with eating much less nutritious store-bought produce if you want to as the majority of your diet. Not the best scenario, but the benefits would still be amazing.
For peope who aren't ready for 100% sproutarianism and still feel like they have to eat good-tasting food, all you have to do is drink 3 or 4 glasses of green sprout juice and you'll still get amazing returns, even if the rest of your diet is lacking. The beauty of green sprout juices.

But there's the catch...if you tried this diet for a few months, you would become one. It's just so awesome and amazing, you wouldn't want to deny anyone the opportunity to experience what you do, even if most people are silly and won't listen to you. You'll realize that it's worth spending hours of your own time online talking about it if you can just get 1 person to try it, because that would utterly change their life in so many ways, the difference would be like going from eating fast food for every meal then switching to raw vegan, only many times greater!

I just about make this every night for my evening meal when juice fasting.
Tomato Blend (added to Alissa's original from awhile back)
3-4 tomatoes
3-4 stalks celery
1 lg. hothouse cucumber
1/4 beet (or to taste)
handful alfalfa sprouts
wedge of onion
handful of cilantro
chunk of ginger (depends on how much you like it--about 1 inch or so)
Juice all and add smoked sea salt, smoked paprika, cayenne, juice of about 1/2 lime and kelp to taste.

[/quote] I am delighted if people eat sprouted. It's totally up to them but the religious bent that goes with some of the sproutarian talk is, if I allow it to be, (and I try not to let it get to me too much) offensive. The main proponent of sproutarianosm on here, when under full sproutarian preaching, claims that even sprouts are wrong and that he is preaching something he doesn't believe in. I find this so baffling. How can anyone preach so evangelically about a subject and then say that even sprouting is wrong? It it does nothing to promote a positive view of raw food lifestyle and definitely doesn't promote a sensible view of sproutarianism.
