Aw, that's too bad! Did he enjoy the lemon, though, or was it totally undrinkable? Too... lemony?

And what do you use to juice your wheatgrass and sprouts? My vitamix is my juicing mainstay right now, but I'm thinking it's not the best method for doing grassy things!

No, he didn't like it either! I use a manual healthy juicer. There is a link to one somewhere. I'll see if I can find it again.

Yesterday we had sunflower green in the morning and sweetcorn free green in the afternoon. Bf commented that the sweetcorn green juice was like drinking alcohol. It was certainly very potent! Might have citrus juice today.

I looked up that recipe. Why peel the cucumber?

How did you find the juice? Taste o.k? Feel good after drinking it?

Yes, tasted good. I felt no real difference. Bf said it made him feel warm in his stomach. He would like to try sproutarian juicing for a week to see how he feels. I have pointed him towards your web site and also am upping the amount of sprout greens I am growing.

He would like to try sproutarian juicing for a week to see how he feels
You should let him know that this is a long-term commitment if you want to feel absolutely amazing; just doing it for a week will have minimal results because there is no way you can start drinking sufficient quantities of sprout juices in that much time. Like the "plan" I detailed in the thread sprouting for juicing, you need to take it slow with sprout juices and take weeks or months to be able to juice large quantities (32 to 40 oz) every day. THAT is when you really start feeling the major benefits and your whole life changes. Just juicing maybe a couple oz of sprout juices a a day for a week will not cut it, nor will it show you any of the miraculous benefits that you will feel if you stick with it for a few months and continually up the quantity of sprout juice you are drinking during that time.

Most all good things in life take commitment and willpower, but if you use those and stick with sproutarianism (or even just sproutarian juicing) then your life will become amazing beyond your wildest dreams.

Hr started out wanting to be raw for just two weeks - 2 months ago. This from a committed carnivore position. Don't knock what can be achieved in one week. Every journey starts with a single step.

Very true - I'm just saying that if you stop at that single step, your journey will be over before it's even began.

If he starts sproutarian juicing for a week, and that turns into a month, and then two, then three, etc, that is great. But if he tries it for a week, sees minimal benefits and then stops, that's a shame. Whatever benefits you might notice after a week are nothing compared to what happens once you're juicing large glasses of microgreens every day.

Who knows what will happen at the end of that week? I don't. He doesn't. Of course it doesn't really matter what happens. He could carry on not much bothering with green juices or sprouts or he could give it try. I imagine we will both include green juices more but we shall see.

If he stops after that week his journey hasn't ended; it just won't be the journey YOU want it to be.

I want what's best for him (I want what's best for everyone)...I just happen to believe (or rather, know) that including lots of sprout juices in your diet is what's best for almost everyone, if not everyone.

Somehow I thought you be pleased that he's even thinking about it but you focussed on how it wasn't worth even trying because he was talking about it in terms of one week only. This is someone who two months ago would have ordered steak with a side order of steak! He's now mostly raw and when he isn't actually raw, he is vegetarian. All that from thinking he'd try eating raw food for a couple of weeks.

I AM very pleased. I was just worried that he may have heard everything Mr. Raw and I have been saying about sproutarianism and thought that he could reap those benefits in just a week. You have to admit, someone saying that they'll try something for a week smacks of them thinking "I'll see if I notice any major changes within a week, and if I don't then maybe this isn't for me". I'm just being the voice of caution and saying that if he expects to feel the benefits Mr Raw and I have in such a short period of time, he's kidding himself. It takes dedication and patience, but the rewards are certainly worth it.

Don't get me wrong - 1 week is infinitely better then none, and I am very glad that more people are willing to start incorporating more sprout juices in their diet. It will only lead to good things. Like I said, I'm just trying to let him know that he shouldn't expect amazing changes within the span of a week; but the fact that he is up for trying it at all is great.

    LOL.
