Smile Spirulina / Chlorella absorbtion depending on water

    Hello there 8-)

My question is short and quick, though I would love if someone could elaborate on it with extra details.
So I drink my spirulina and Chlrella in water ( yummy ) most of my water is alkaline, about 9.5 Ph
I use Dr. Young Ph drops. My question is : drinking algae in neutral Ph VS alkaline Ph water, does it make a difference on how readily nutrients from those algaes are absorbed ?

Thank you kindly for your responses.

l am not really sure of the fine details in all of this (l haven't studied the subject much), but l feel that since you are drinking the water with the algae that the water will be alright. Drinking plain filtered tap water is another matter entirely [in my opinion] because of absorption problems, and even people like Doin Tolman and others have talked about adding a pinch of salt to water to make it properly absorbable. What l do is energise my water to improve the electrical frequency of the water, and it does seem to make the water higher quality like natural rain water and make the plants grow better. Since it is better for my plants, l suppose it's better for me, and maybe more absorbable as [as some people claim]. lt's hard to believe that plain tap water isn't absorbed very well due to the wrong ph levels, but apparently that is true.

Best water ever tasted was from a mountain lake but tap water is good enough at least in some parts of the world.

That didnt answer my question :-)
Question was : in what environment nutrient absorbs better ? More alkaline or more acidic.
I started thinking about this since I saw several suggestions of drinking algaes with citrus drinks 8-/

I'm not sure. That said, protein digestion/absorption happens best in more acidic environments (and carbohydrate digestion in more alkaline ones), and spirulina and chlorella are mostly (50-70%) protein. Acidic environment would also help if you're deficient in stomach acid, which many people are. And then there's the fact that certain nutrients, such as iron (which spirulina and chlorella have in abundance) are better absorbed in an acidic environment.

That seems like a lot of evidence for an acidic environment, but the interactions of that acidic agent and the spirulina/chlorella might inhibit digestion too. I just drink mine in filtered, energized water, although I'd love to be able to get some directly from a natural spring.
