    Default Super Angel 5500

Take the price issue out, and let me know if there's any reason, not to buy this juicer. (Super Angel 5500)
I'm looking to juice the following:

    Strawberries
    Red Delicious Apples
    Carrots
    Beets
    Cucumbers
    Celery
    Chard
    Kale
    Broccoli
    Red Cabbage
    Ginger (fresh)
    Roma tomatoes
and assorted other produce... (suggestions welcome :) )

    Thank you for your opinions,
    ar

It seems to simulate the twin gear green star plus.

Except for Strawberry and tomato which i am not sure, you seem to have a good choice of juicer and it will do great in my opinion for the rest of your ingredient.

Typically the green star isn't great for soft fruit such strawberries, tomato, pears, mango etc... but is fine with hard apple. Try to research if this Super Angel works good with fruit, it may. But it should be fantastic with greens and wheat grass. You seem to have a good machine.

    All the best!

I've read that it out-performs other juicers but is difficult to clean. For me, I can't set the price aside but if you can then you might want to think about the cleaning process and whether you will tire of the juicer if you can't clean it quickly.

I wish I could afford a Super Angel juicer! I've checked it out recently, but already have a greenstar so am not in the market for a new juicer at the moment.

I don't mind links ... actually, I appreciate being able to read about a product.
    Cheers

Reasons not to buy the Angel juicer
Not balanced well, so if you juice carrots or other hard vegetables you need to be careful not to tip the juicer over. You need to hold the base of the juicer.

Very very heavy (stainless steel inside and out).

Need to buy various pricey attachments. Eg, one does nbut/seed butter, one does greens, and l think one even specialises in fruit juicing. At $230 for each attachment that is even more money.

The Angel company makes the juicers in Korea and have a language barrier so most people will never have direct contact with the manufacturer. Customers go through an agent.

Angel has been known to discontinue juicer models, so if a certain juicer is no longer made then the warantee doesn't apply to the discontinued model.

Angel once went out of business and then registered their business again. Can they be relied upon?

    ---------------------------------
l still think the Angel juicer is excellent: beautiful, quality, best juicing abilities...it has a touch of class that the rest on the market don't have. lt is the pretty face of the juicers, but built like a truck as well.

Also: see my topic on `highend juicers - norwalk/angel', it has excellent links.
