    Default Anyone juice then freeze?

I was wondering if I was the only one who thought about doing this, I don't have the space or money to keep produce around for daily juicing, but doing it all at once then freezing it I could do, does this sound like it would work?

i do it all the time!!! i have two freezers FULL of juices :)

bottom line... probably not AS good as a fresh juice... but definitely waaaaaaaaaaaaaay healthier than a juice that has sat in the fridge for a day.

i prefer to freeze cause this way i can buy a case of apples, pears - whatever i am wanting at the time... and it cuts down on my daily workload.

my friend melissa does the same.

That sounds like a great idea!! I might do that myself. I always hate using my blender because it's SO loud and we live in a duplex...

i freeze them in canning jars. i have two sizes. 500ml and 1L - just make sure that it isn't filled to the top cause the jar will break.

i thaw them in the fridge but if i'm short for time, i thaw it on the counter. i've even popped the opened jar into a bowl of hot water and left it on the counter. that way... it thaws even faster.

That's good to know. I've never frozen anything in glass. I was afraid to. I'll try it with my jars. Frozen juice will be so helpful to have on hand.

    Thanks! :)

oh my gosh aleesha, thank you for the quick reply! I was only hoping someone would, your info was really helpful,
so today I'm making tangerine juice, carrot juice, beet and apple juice, maybe some pear (I love pear juice it is so good) if they're ripe enough.
    Thanks guys!

always do a small sample freezing though... cause some juices do NOT freeze well... they taste horrid afterwards.

so don't waste your money by freezing large amounts of a juice you haven't tried before.

example: do not freeze tomato juice with any other juice inside and absolutely no cayenne etc.

Thanks for the tip! I was wondering how veggie juices would do. So far I've only tried the cran-apple and it is great! I love letting it thaw just slightly and then eating it with a spoon. I think I'll try that with limes next. Mmmmm, fresh lime slush! Yum. Anyone else make fruit slushes with their fruit juices? Recipes welcome! I know it's a little cold for slushes right now but since I'm fasting, it's nice to have a variety of ways to enjoy the juice. :)
