I think the site was being funny when I came on last! I missed half the messages. Sorry I totally ignored the question about the filling! The last comment there was the one from robh.
If I ever go along to a raw meet up where you bring food that might be my dish of choice to bring! 90% of what I make is a disaster. I always just want to move in with everybody else here and eat what they make!

Definitely trying out more of Natalia's recipes. I like the look of her thanksgiving style dinner. Who doesn't love mashed potato... mmmmm. I hope it mimics the real thing well! Think that could be on the shopping list for next week.

I can't remember who recommended taking the greenish centres out of garlic cloves but if they're about: thank you! It does take the bite out of it and made a huge difference to the last few things I've made. :)

Robh: Glad to hear you're bouncing back into things by losing the vacation weight and nearing the end of you detox! It's good when you get back to feeling like it could have never happened! :)

Today I mostly ate raspberries and leftovers from yesterday. Had a "slip up" evening. Went out to dinner to catch up with my brothers to the mosque in edinburgh (literally a restaurant that's non profit running out the back of a mosque, it's an old favourite of ours from their student days when I came to visit), extremely affordable but no raw at all. It's all freshly made and mostly vegan (I had a vegan option) so it's not the worst.
Wistful and pale at twenty and four. Delivering daisies.
You can call me Pansy. ♥

Crystal, that salad sounds great. I also have all the stuff. I plan to make it tomorrow! Thanks for posting it.

Pansy, I started taking those green things out too. I think you might have posted it. Great tip.

I had a salad this evening and a smoothie after dinner. I played more tennis. Appetite is really decreasing.

Well, I am just checking in. Just coming on this thread and posting what I am doing helps keep me accountable. :)

    Good night all.

Hello everyone,All raw yesterday except two small handfuls of nuts and raisins. Had trip to dentist yesterday and had one filling. The scaling was horrible but I haven't had it done for best part of 15 years and it needed doing. Today and tomorrow I have off from work and I plan to buy myself a spiraliser and some coconuts and probably some raw goodies. I may get a camping larder too. To avoid the fruit flies and such like.I have kiwi for breakfast :)

The caravan is not too hot thankfully. It's under a tree and the sun is off it by about 2pm. This morning it is lovely and cool with a slight mist coming up from the river.

    How is everyone doing today?

The wife and I are out for lunch. I ordered a salad with no meat no cheese and no dressing. Expensive lettuce! :)

I lost more weight pretty excited about it. Only 70 more to go *sigh*

    Day 30 !!!

Well I've done 30 days mostly raw with a few blips, ! I weighed myself today and I have am 11 stone 13, so I have lost 5 1/2 llbs, not alot really but still its a loss, 4 inches of my waist , one inch of my hips, chest the same !. I am a bit disappointed with the weight loss I thought it would be about a stone , maybe I have been eating too much, or too many nuts, but I guess I have been dieting as such and havent been watching what I eat, I mean today I had another two big slices of cheesecake which must be very fattening !!! I wouldnt say that I have found being raw that much different, I havent noticed a big change in energy levels, nor my skin if Im honest, Im still permantly kn*ckered lol, although that may be due to having four kids lol.

My aim is to get down to 10 stone 9. So I guess another 18 lbs to go..although I didnt put it on overnight I think its unrealistic to think its all going to come off in one month ! lol.

Anyway today I had berry smoothie with chia seeds.

Lunch was the cabbage slaw that I also had yesterday, I had two massive bowls full (been very hungry today)...I think the receipe serves 4 lol, hmmmm yes maybe thats why Im not loosing weight lol .

Square of raw chocolate, few nibbles of crisps and kids leftover rice. Its so warm not really hungry this evening might have something later.

Well looks like Im up for another 30 days !

Robh well done on the weight loss ! fantastic..

Crystal2870, 4 inches is a lot in 30 days! That is awesome! Also, you have gone 20% of the way to your goal weight! In 30 days, 20% is an accomplishment! You are doing great. :) Also, do not worry about how much you are eating. The weight loss will come. I don't know if you have heard this or read it, but I heard a loss of 1 pound a week is considered "rapid weight loss". You did almost 6 pounds in 4 weeks! You have to change your perspective on the numbers.

Dear lord, what have i created? and by "lord" I mean anyone with expertise with chia seeds. I found a WholePaycheck recipe for pudding in a quick google search and tossed in the ingredients. OK. so it called for 2/3 cup of seeds to 2 cups almond, etc milk. but it seems almost solid! Should I add more fluid to this thing? It's so gelatinous; which is intriguing and a bit weird. thinking of adding cocoa to it. maybe that will tame it.

Well, i was afraid to start late, but it turns out it's given me momentum, and should help me make a fresh commitment for next month.

My husband and I are both down in weight. He eats a bit more cooked vegan foods than me.

Any recommendations on a sprilizer? I'd like to try and make pastas, and not too keen on the peeler method.

Congrats everyone on the weight loss. Since I jumped in mid way I haven't gotten a chance to know all your names. I'll get better!

    Ate so far today:

Smoothie: 2 med. bananas, cup frozen blueberries, hemp powder, water

prepped bananas for ice cream for later (hot here today)

    Karrots, welcome.

RedCedar, that's too much chia. I only make enough for one serving. Also, it's not supposed to be a solid brick. Use more water than chia - way more!
