Meditation and Higher Vibration
Hi all,
I wanted to start a conversation on how raw foodism has affected your spirituality - has changing your diet/lifestyle brought you to a new level in your spiritual practices, or opened you up to a new path?
Thanks in advance for being respectful of everyone's journey, and for participating

I've noticed that I no longer deal with angry people. It's like I'm not on their same angry vibration so they would rather not deal with me. For example.....when going produce shopping. The people around me in line are happy and fun to chat with and the check out person is also happy. It's as if "magically" everything falls into place to where I am only around happy people. :-)

Can you all imagine the abundant world we would live in if we all planted the seeds of every plant we ate. You wouldn't be able to throw a stone without hitting a fruit tree or berry bush or some fruit/vegetable bearing plant. Imagine the bees that would thrive in such an environment. I see a world.....................

That certainly is in keeping with vibration theory :) By eating foods of a higher vibration, your vibration increases too! Anything of a lower vibration can't come to you or be experienced by you.
-
It can be... if you choose it to be. You aren't immune to lower vibrations.
Once you live your life in joy... eating foods that bring you joy... and filling the moments of your day with joy... then joy finds you. It seeks you out. It wraps itself around your soul and embraces you.
Such a great way to live THIS moment.

Where can I read more about this vibration theory?
I keep hearing about it but never in great detail. I'd like to know more.

PansyLo, I've read a number of books and while they all say the same thing, the trick is finding a writer/teacher who explains it in a way that makes sense to you.
I'd recommend you start with going to Youtube and looking up Abraham Hicks, for a taste. :) Another good one is Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith. He livestreams services and speaks frequently about vibration - I'd say weekly, actually. Ekhart Tolle is another. Check 'em out, if any of them speak to you, they have books available.

In my experience eating a raw diet definitely has an effect on your overall state of being and clarity. That said, I don't think it wise to develop a set of limiting beliefs around it. Ultimately, spirituality has little to do with whatever "state" is being experienced, and a lot to do with that which is experiencing all states (good, bad, pleasant, unpleasant, etc..). So enjoy the good vibration, but don't get caught up in it. Just one point of view:)

Thank you Lexie! I've checked a few out!
I'm going to have a listen to the Rev's service this Sunday. I'm not sure if it'll be my thing as I prefere people who are more down to earth when it comes to these things where as he is very in your face and big out there with it. It's a bit kooky looking but I'm willing to have a listen and see what I learn. : )
I feel like spirituality is something I haven't come into yet but may develop when I'm older.
Since going raw (or learning about raw I'm not high enough raw to be considered raw atm) my attitude towards some things is changing.

I definitely attribute raw to my spiritual progress. Before I would attempt to be spiritual, with very little success. Raw & brief fasting allowed me to really experience being spiritual. It's a nice added bonus. :)

Matt Monarch discusses this quite a bit.
You can find him at Raw Spirit dot org and on you tube at The Raw Food World TV Show.

Cool, thanks walnutty! I'll look into that.

I don't think there is a connection between eating and spiritualism, but sure enough healthy and raw eating have a positive effect on your mind, body and soul. Even the vibe that you get from other persons are positive coz you feel happy at heart.

Raw food is great (provided one doesn't make it into a personal religion, and provided one retains a decent amount of perspective on it), but in terms of meditation and peace of mind in handling life, Holosync has done infinitely more for me than raw food ever has.
Each to their own...

You say there is no connection between raw food and spirituality but at the same time you say raw food is good for the soul. Which is it?

Listening to the rain is a good alternative Holosync - so I am told - much cheaper too and suitable for those of us without electricity. Not so helpful perhaps if you live in a drought-stricken place of course ;)
