    Default college life

hi! i was wondering if anyone's a college student and trying to do this with a dining hall meal plan, and how's it working out? i'm going back to school in september (took a year off) and i'm just worried about stuff like running out of money, or even comments/looks from others for eating/buying a lot of fruit

if i were in that posistion ide keep experimenting with recipes for a home made trail mix with items bought cheap around your current town

raw sunflower seeds - raisins - walnuts - etc

ide also buy several of the plastic jars full of dry roasted saltless peanuts , 16 oz size

then every time i went back to home town or visitors from there came ide replenish my trail mix stocks

you put your homemade trail mix in the plastic peanut jars for easy of carry

very easy to stash the peanut jars full of mix in a car / back pack / etc

so you have the high protein / healthy fats energy mix always easy to take with you ,
along with whatever fruits you like . trail mix and fruit are instant easy to eat high energy foods .
i use the peanut jars for both ease of transport plus you can ' drink ' the mix right out of jars while on the go

ide also stock sesame / hemp / sun / pumpkin seeds and walnuts to bring to cafateria in order to sprinkle huge amounts
on my salads there to turn into hearty filling meals . ide also bring avacados to cafeteria too to heatern salads

and zero doubt ide also bring homemade salad dressings to cafateria out off extra virgin olive oil / apple cider vinegar / herbs
    for a pure healthy dressing

bottom line : home made trail mix plus fruit , and doctoring up cafateria salads

I'm going to college this august, and I want to keep up with raw there. I'm going to VT, so there's a farmer's market year round in town. My college itself has an organic farm, and they focus on local foods. So hopefully, I can get some good stuff for cheap.
Other than that, salad bars usually have broccoli, carrots, lettuce, fruit, and olive oil.
    I'll see how it goes...

I am also a student, and concerned about how I am going to manage the money. I guess since I am thinking about starting a raw food diet, I should also cut out alcohol so I guess I would save a lot of money there.. But then, I don't know what else to cut out because I don't really but clothes etc.. Does anyone have any tips?
