For the last two years I have been feeding her Innova
before that she had a cheaper dog food--was the dog cookies THE CAUSE it-HAS dyes in them

I did a research and this is what I found
Has anyone tried this on their dog? .....ANYWAY IT GOOD INFO

May is Pet Cancer Awareness Month. According to caninecancer.com, cancer is the No. 1 concern of pet parents.
Some of the cancers dogs can get are breast (mammary), bladder, lung, bone, skin, lymphoma and testicular. These are also the most common types of cancers seen in dogs.

One of the ways to fight canine cancer and keep it from coming back is to give your dog reishi, which is an herbal mushroom that has been used extensively in Japan and China for thousands of years.

What is Canine Cancer and What Causes It?

Canine cancer is very similar to human cancer and comes in many types. It starts when abnormal cells begin to grow out of control and form a mass.

This mass of abnormal cells is called a cancer.

“Cancerous cells do not function as normal cells and thus do not provide needed services. If the cancer grows unchecked, it eventually replaces much of the organ while also metastasizing to other parts of the body. In time, it causes the death of the dog,” says pets.webMD.com.

Unfortunately, your dog may have cancer and you won’t find out until it is too late. While there are ways to detect cancer early, it still doesn’t change the fact that cancer can strike at any time.
“Internal cancers are most common in the spleen, liver and gastrointestinal tract. Cancers in these areas often become advanced before they are even suspected. Usually the first signs are weight loss, a palpable mass in the abdomen, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation or gastrointestinal bleeding,” says pets.webMD.com.
Regular consumption of red reishi has been shown to stimulate the production of potent natural anti-cancer substances produced in the body. Reishi promotes your dogs’ ability to suppress the adhesion and migration of invasive cells. A supplement containing reishi can effectively inhibit the growth of tumors and even cause tumors to regress. Also, animal studies have demonstrated it is also effective at preventing the growth of secondary cancers.

Helping Your Dog Recover After Cancer
Fact: “Cancer rates increase in dogs with age. It is the leading cause of death in dogs over 10 years,” states caninecancer.com.
Since no two cancers are the same, your vet will diagnose and set up a treatment plan based on the type of cancer your dog has.
According to caninecancer.com, treatments may include a combination of:
Surgery
Chemotherapy
Radiation
Cryosurgery
Hyperthermia
Immunotherapy

These treatments will be very hard on your dog, just like they are on humans. Providing your dog with reishi during this crucial time will help reduce the side-effects of chemo and/or radiation, as well as minimizing his risk of infection, helping with fatigue and loss of appetite and fur.
Reishi will also give your dog’s immune system a much-needed boost to help him continue to fight the cancer and recover, and it will help to reduce his stress, and relieve any pain he may be experiencing. Barf diet and look up the English guy carter who has done this research. But bone cancer is a toughie and painful so maybe treatment is not the kindest way forward.

Thanks for the info ---I don't think she would drink wheat grass or kombucha but I'm also gonna try giving her some vitamin D3 besides the reishi
I started to give reishi to my other dog who is 10 years old --Tara,who has the bone cancer is 11years old who weights 84 pounds

The Canine Cancer Diet:

Most canine cancer patients will do best on a grain free commercial dog food supplemented with the addition of a partially cooked or raw food diet. If you are concerned with how your dog will react with a raw diet, start off with rare cooked meat and slowly wean them to raw.

Due to the high acid in their stomach, dogs are not susceptible to the bacteria that humans are and a raw diet is a benefit to them. Their stomach acid also allows them to digest bone.
The raw food diet (or BARF diet – Biologically Appropriate Raw Foods) should consist of 75% meat and 25% fruit/veggies

BARF Diet Ingredients:

Bones – they MUST be raw – cooked/smoked bones are never safe as they will splinter

Meat – chunked or ground (beef, lamb, chicken, pork, etc)

Offal (liver, kidneys, heart, unbleached green tripe (which can be purchased in a can at your local gourmet pet food store))

Vegetables – (broccoli, spinach, celery, bok choy, carrot, capsicum)

Fruit – (whole apple, whole pear, whole grapefruit, whole orange)

Other Goodies - Whole egg, flax seed, garlic, kelp, alfalfa, kefir

Yogurt and cottage cheese are good to mix with the fruit/veggies to entice the dog to eat them

Recipe – 1 week of raw meat patties for a 50 pound active dog

4 lbs ground meats – beef and/or lamb and/or chicken and/or turkey
2 cups raw goat milk or 1 cup yogurt or cottage cheese
3 raw eggs
1 apple
1 glove garlic
2 carrots
1.5 pound mixed veggies (such as sweet potato, broccoli, zucchini, kale, spinach)

Mix in food processor and make into patties to freeze

No two dogs are alike in the amount of food they require; dogs typically eat 2% of their body weight, but more active or dogs with a high metabolism may require 3-4%.
It is a good idea to give the raw diet in the morning and some dry, grain-free kibble in the evening.
You can also be creative and give chunked meat along with a mix of fruit/veggies/yogurt. Change is good to ensure a variety of nutrients.

Lesson #2 - Creating the
Proper Environment to Heal...
We live in a chemical world.
Our environment is filled with chemicals that we use every day. Pesticides for the lawn, ammonia and chlorine for cleaning around the house, chemicals in our foods...
The list goes on and on.
All of these can be helpful in some areas of life, but they're DREADFUL for your dog fighting cancer.
These chemicals tend to be toxic to the body and can be a threat to the health of dogs (and people).
Now healthy dogs can generally handle these stresses - their immune system is strong and just eliminates any threat that may be posed by these chemicals.
But when a dog is battling cancer, his immune system needs to be focused on just one thing if he's going to have a chance for success - and that's the cancer itself.
Any outside chemicals or pesticide poisons will force your dog's body to shift focus away from the cancer, and on to combating the poisons that attack his system. Your dog simply doesn't have the strength to fight both battles; so when chemicals attack your dog's immune system, the cancer wins.
That's why, in order to give your dog a fighting chance, these chemicals need to disappear from his environment fast.
As soon as my dog Marty was diagnosed with cancer, I acted quickly to clean up his environment as much as possible.
I threw away all "chemical" cleaners, laundry detergents, etc. (almost every cleaning product in my closet), and replaced them all with natural "non-toxic" alternatives I found at my local health food store (many of these alternatives are surprisingly effective).
I eliminated all pesticides and chemicals from my garden and switched over to "environmentally friendly" alternatives.

And here's another important tip you'll learn
as you do your cancer research...
Virtually every vet agrees that vaccinations of any sort - and flea remedies such as "Frontline" or "Advantage" and other pet products that introduce low grade pesticides into your dog's system - are DREADFUL for dogs fighting cancer.
One vet (Dr. Richard H. Pitcairn, in his book, “The Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs & Cats”) even described vaccinating your cancer fighting dog as similar to "pouring gasoline on the fire" for the cancer.
For this reason, most states allow you to obtain an official exemption from laws requiring you to vaccinate your cancer fighting pet.
If your dog has cancer, ask your vet for help to obtain one of these official vaccination exemptions.

I give her some meatballs in the morning along with some sardines.......Boy she loves this...been giving her some sea minerals and vit B also

dr Morse recommended to give fruit to dog with health condition. I would limit the meat. Meat feeds the cancer meaning it helps the cancer cell to grow. Dog are omnivore according to him and they will be ok with fruits. I would give a try to a plant diet for him. You can even consider to give him some herbs. I would consult with dr. Morse if i was you, he has helped pet.

My dogs love fruit. Watermelon in particular but also even banana and apple and pineapple.

This is what I do for the above Recipe

You need 2 big pots or bowls
Food Processor
A big Metal Spoon

1.) I take the broccoli and I chop it fine in the food processor: Put that broccoli in one of the big pots

2.) Then I take the next vegetable like Brussels sprouts, Cauliflower, asparagus or Zucchini and chop it fine in the food processor:

3.) Mix it together with the broccoli

4.) Then I get the eggs I add one more because it makes it easier to roll into meatballs
Add the rest of the remaining ingredients at this stage I add 2 tablespoons of turmeric
Or you can add 1 tablespoon of turmeric with basil, oregano, mint, dill, chives, ginger, and kelp

A rule of thumb is one tablespoon of herbs per pound of meat Also at this stage I add extra powered vitamins

Mix in the food processor and add to the broccoli mixture and mix by hand with metal

5.) Add the raw chop meat and add to the broccoli mixture by hand as best as you can
With the metal spoon

6) Then take the mixture and process in the food processor in stages and add the
Mixture to the empty pot or bowl and mix the processed mixture together and roll into patties or meatballs

Notes::::::For making adjustments

The Carbohydrates should be less than 20 percent coming from low glycemic vegetable with limit amount of fruit

We need to convert the meat into grams

1 pound of meat = 454 grams times how many pounds

Example
1 lb. =454 X 3 = 1,362 grams of meat

Now we want to calculate the grams of carbs we will be adding to the food


If we use 15 percent which is in the range of below 20 percent then
1362 X 15 Percent = 204 grams of carbs

If you do package vegetables the work is done for you otherwise you will have to do an internet search to search for the conversion

I also give the dog CoQ10 100 mg with Peanut butter which is also fight cancer for dogs
