Good for you for losing the 30 lbs...or is it now 25? LOL. Maybe? you were going TOO far with it. Maybe you lost the weight too quickly and you subconsciously felt too deprived. Maybe you could try to slow down the weight loss a little bit and have treats/fats or whatever it is you're craving --but healthy, raw versions.

    Just some thoughts.

Get the crap out of your house. Surround yourself with yummy raw snacks. Make yourself eat a fruit before anything else or drink a glass of water. This is what I do with my kids.

Congrats on your weight loss. Thats awesome..

when prepping food for a family meal make YOURS first and the rest of the meal afterwards. You won't omit to make food for other but you will be more likely to not make food for yourself so always make yours first.

Be prepared. If you listen to the early episodes of Rawkin Radio, it's a common topic of discussion between myself and Alissa.

Keep some frozen peeled bananas in the freezer and make ice cream. Flavour it however you like. Berries or citrus or vanilla or even chocolate powder.

Hey good job on the weight loss. Try this very simple and quick recipe and use it to snack on during any time of the day. Ingredients - about 3 handfuls of cashew nuts, about 2 handfuls of stoned dates, about 1 level tablespoon of raw cacao powder, about 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Put the nuts and cacao powder into a food processor for about 20 seconds. then put 1 or 2 dates in at a time while processing until they're all in. Then add the maple syrup drip by drip. Total processing should be about 1 minute or so. And that's it. Add a teaspoon of vanillia if you like (while processing). I snack on this when I'm peckish. It's a lovely chocolatey snack so should help you out plus it's very quick to make.

Hey well done so far. Don't give up. I'm fairly new to raw myself but I know it's the way to go. I feel better already.

That is so totally awesome. Don't worry, everyone has setbacks. When I go through a setback, I start feeling crappy and then switch back to high raw again. I'm sure you will too when you start feeling crappy.

I think you may have gotten into it so hard that you rebounded just as hard. If you are serious about living a better, healthier and skinnier life then this will just be one of many bumps in the road. Eventually once your husband sees that this isn't some crash diet and it now represents who you are, he will want to be a part of it. I wish you a long and extremely happy life/journey!

I've always read that taking fenugreek helps curb the cravings for sweets. I sprout fenugreek seeds, you can make fenugreek in capsule form, you can also get it by doing fenugreek enemas, which are great for further cleansing.
I have a major sweet tooth as well, but I just reach for the healthy stuff! My favorite snack is a raw banana split... take one (or two) bananas and top with a tsp of coconut oil, cacao nibs, raw almond or sunbutter and coconut shavings, goji berries, hemp seeds. You can top it with almost anything, but it satisfies me quick!
I also make lots of banana ice creams. There are always fantastic, simple raw desert recipes on rawfoodrecipes.com. This site has vastly expanded my menu for raw foods.

Good luck! Craving sweets is natural. Breast milk is the first thing we are supposed to eat in our lives, so we are naturally programed to like sweets. You just have to learn to eat the right ones!!

I know the feeling! The only thing that works for me is eating dates, but I got sick of them so I'm absolutely obsessed with FRESH yellow dates now! They taste like juicy crunchy candy!

Huh, I have the same problem. I went back to SAD after very stressful events on my job... How do you handle rawfoodism if you are under significant stress? Are cravings for "comfort" food that unbearable?

When I'm having 'SAD cravings' I go straight for bananas with raw peanut or almond butter. You get the sweet, rich flavour (especially if you mix a lil raw cacao and date paste into the nut butter for a raw nutella) plus it's supper filling so you feel full and satisfied. It's the only thing that helps me through the challenging times. Sometimes I'll eat like 6-8 bananas with nut butter in a row, until I'm too full to have room for any junk food haha I know it's not the best to eat that much nut butter in one go but I figure it's better than the alternatives I would be eating otherwise and the cravings usually pass once I've either detoxed enough of the old SAD junk outta my system or I'm through the rough, stressful patch in life. Find a treat like that which curbs your individual cravings and allow yourself to indulge guilt free until you are satisfied. If you let yourself feel deprived it makes it hard to stick to eating healthy living foods. Love yourself enough to give yourself the best! :)

I use a smart phone app called calorific tracking to help me keep track of my water and my fat intake . It's designed for approximate calorie tracking on a sad diet but works well with a raw food diet . Try using that it will make u more aware of what Ur eating . Good luck .
