Default Green Smoothie Feast & Green Bowels

Okay I know this topic sounds gross! But I had to ask.

I am on day 4 of my green smoothie feast (and feel great!!!) but I am curious if it is normal/ok that my POO is GREEN?

Can you all imagine the abundant world we would live in if we all planted the seeds of every plant we ate. You wouldn't be able to throw a stone without hitting a fruit tree or berry bush or some fruit/vegetable bearing plant. Imagine the bees that would thrive in such an environment. I see a world.....................

its because your body is not assimilating the green stuff - its all going through you. It takes time for your body to figure out what to do with it. Just keep doing it!!:)

    Thanks for the replies ~

So I am assuming my body is still absorbing the nutrients, or at least most of them, right?

    Thanks ~!

Your body is doing what it's supposed to do. It's releasing chlorophyll, which doesn't necessarily mean anything else.

I would think that I was doing something wrong if mine did not have a shade of green in them. Maybe the need to be green is the Irish in me.

I've been drinking green smoothies a quart per day for 3 years and my poop is still green. I was hoping and still hope it will change but so far... I think, Victoria Butenko in her book says your body eventually will start taking that nutrition from greens and then your poop will not be green anymore. Still waiting and do not know what to think about it.

Don't think about it. Feel! How do you feel? That's what's important.

I would say I do not feel anything about it except regular bowel movement. No smoothie - no movement. And logical feeling of being good/"getting nutrition" also contributes some.

I didn't say how do you feel about it. That's an interpretation of how you actually feel as is "logical feeling" which doesn't make any sense. Question is, how does your body FEEL?

Chlorophyl is good for you. I'd be happy that some of it is scrubbing my intestines all the way to the rectum, rather than being all used up in my stomach and small intestine. That it is green is not a bad thing. The chlorophyl may be carrying great numbers of toxins out with it. That you are seeing green does not mean you are not absorbing a significant amount or that it isn't doing it's job higher up. I would think also that it might just mean you have an efficient transit time. Better to come out green and easily, than all stanky and putrified because it sat around too long inside at near 100 degrees.
