thread locked, and private messaging disabled. Help?

Hello, i've attempted to message some about this but haven't gotten a response yet. For reasons unknown to me my private messaging has been disabled. Can someone explain why this happened? I wasn't aware i broke any rules. If i did, can you tell me what ones so i know what to avoid?

i'm not aware of anything i said in this thread that is against the rules, and i was a bit misunderstood by one who thought i advocated a strict "fruit-only" diet, which is apparently against the rules. However, I never did say fruit-only, i meant plant-based, and so did the material i was referencing. They misunderstood my post (in many ways).

Other posters apparently broke the rules and started getting into restricted areas, then the thread was closed. It would be nice if we could have just edited/deleted those comments so the thread could continue?

Any explanations/advise is most welcome

Don't worry that you did anything wrong. It was me who apparently was disrespectful to someones religion, even though the note was in jest and the person did not seem to be offended. These things happen...

if the mods cared that much about it i think it just would have made more sense to edit the thread instead of locking it, since it was all fine going fine really

Actually, I closed it because it was turning into a "fruit only" topic and I didn't want to delete or edit a lot of people. I thought it would be easiest to just close the thread.

As for the private messaging.. that has been this way for everyone for quite awhile. I'm not sure why they chose the disable that, but they did.

Plus... I do care very much about these boards and I'm doing what I can to make sure they stay on topic and follow the rules and still be encouraging and safe for all posters.

How is the thread not on topic? Seemed very on topic to me and others, and it wasn't against the rules.

As i said, it never was a fruit only topic. Sure that was the main focus but it is about a plant diet in general. All of that was a misconception. Some were just interpreting it that way, so to close it because of that doesn't make any sense to me. It certainly was a healthy discussion for a while and wasn't getting out of hand

Could we re-open it now?

I was surprised to see it locked as well. The comment Snoops made to me was in jest. We go back a looooong way and I knew she was playing yet, couldn't play back cuz it was locked! Oh well!

Understand something about forums and posts ~ eventually, they'll all go the way of the white clouds; sometimes they'll be rejuvenated for a bit... most often not. People get all hung up on ~ why was it closed? Why was it deleted? Save yourself the stress... shift happens... life moves on!

oh, things like this don't stress me out in the least lol. Just figured it would be interesting to some if we could get a dialogue going on it. Many agree the info is very important and relevant
