Hi leespike sorry to hear you are sick but hopefully you will be better very soon when you start eating more and more raw foods. Cool you live in Kingston, I was there several years ago and had an awesome time there. I don't remember what I ate exactly but I remember there was fresh coconuts on the side of the road which was really cool. For recipes there are some really good sites that have free recipes on them or you might want to thin about ordering Alissa's book or another raw food recipe book of some kind to help give you ideas too. But let us know what kind of food you have in Jamaica and maybe some of us can give recipe suggestions :)

    Dear leespike,
Why donÂ’t you do a search for raw recipes on the Internet and then you can judge for yourself if whether what your finding in the recipes are things you are able to find in Jamaica? Maybe we can help you better if we know what types of foods are readily available to you and what types of foods from the raw diet are not.

    Hello everyone,

I am not very lucky to see a raw book in Jamaica. We have brocoli, cauliflower, carrot, turnips, tomatoes, cucumber, almonds, brazilian nuts, coconut, lettuce, cabbage, parley, we have quite a few you you guys, except for the fancy preparation of food. I have a problem with eating rice and meat - I think that my body is toxic. What can I do do rid my body of the toxic matter. Whenever, I eat sugar, flour and meat, my sinus is choking me. HELP, PLEASE.

I will accept any recipe from anyone. I do not understand what to do when they said it must be dehydrated. Receipes please.

Hmm, maybe more importantly you could tell us what appliances you have? Do you have a blender or a food processor? A dehydrator is a machine that dries fruit or other food in a relatively short time. Once we know what kind of appliances you have to work with we can know what recipes would be good for you. As for the toxicity, the fastest and easiest and best thing you can do for your body would probably be a water fast or a juice fast. That should really help clean all the toxins out and clear your sinuses up.

AND, just start incorporating those fresh fruits into your diet right now. Fill up on them, choose them over junk and dairy and meat. Eating these fresh fruits and vegs will rid the toxic from you. Make fresh fruit juice, it is so wonderful and drink water. You can do this, and you will see the difference!

You can do lots of fruit smoothies and raw vegetable soups. I think it's really easy to make creamy spinach soup just with spinach and an avocado and water or orange juice for the liquid and then add whatever spices you like. That will give you a lot of energy. If you have access to whole grains like wheat berries or oat groats etc you could buy some and soak/sproat and mix in with fruit in the blender. It's great to make fruit pudding in the food processor I think there is a recipe on board somewhere but its pretty simple, just put in a banana and whatever other fruits you like and then add some avocado and almond butter if you can get it. Here is a link which has lots and lots of recipes http://www.rawfoods.com/recipes/
