Default Thick puppy juice from omega

Just got a omega 8005 and love it for veggies and wheatgrass. I tries juicer mangoes and pineapple today and it came out the consistency of apple sauce. It's really drinkable. I got it straining but don't think I will get much juice.

Am I doing something wrong? I have a centrifugal juicer but thought this new juicer would extract more and keep the nutrients intake.

    Thanks much!

mangoes are really not suitable for juicing. You might juice the pineapple and then blend it with mango but yes it will be thick.

    Makes sense!

I juiced apples and got a similar effect (not as bad). Is just expected or is there anyway to minimize it?

I have an Omega 8003 and haven't had any problems with mango or pineapples. Are you using the right nozzle (the one with the strainer)?

I am using this one, which is the strainer right?

Yep. That's the correct one. Very strange...

So you get no pulp (or low pulp) when juicing? I might call the company and inquire about this...

Pineapples get a bit frothy and there is pulp, but certainly not thick like apple sauce.

I have the same problem with pineapples and my Omega 8006 - I think they're just better suited for smoothies. The same thing will happen with soft mealy apples. They just turn to mush.

I blend my pineapples then strain them. I never had much luck juicing them.

Omega VRT is better for fruit but still with a mango, it would be thick.

I use mango for smoothie usually. If you want juice then straining it, will have to do.

As I was juicing my apples today I remembered this thread. My juice comes out thin, not like applesauce at all. I think it really matters what type of apples you use. I use honeycrisp, jazz, pink lady, ambrosia. They are all very crisp apples. Others like Gala, red delicious are mushy and will not juice well. Just a suggestion. Doesn't help re the mango but juicing apples came up too.

Yes, this is right the type of apple plays a big role. If they are soft, it will be like apple sauce and firm, they will be juicy.

Hope you figure out the problem

    All the best!
