    Lightbulb working on a Juice Fast, couple questions:

    Hey you guys! This is my first ever fast and I am really learning a lot from this board and all my raw foodie friends around these parts (Smokey Mts.).

    I am a massage therapist and I was just wondering if you guys think that giving massages during a fast (today day 8) is a good idea or a bad one... im not so sure myself but I did book a client so I guess we will see. I took a week off thinking i would need time to adjust but then i got a call and accepted a client for today. Im feeling good, high energy, planning on laying low for the rest of the day.

    How many of you take of work while fasting? Do you guys maintain your exercise routines while fasting?

    I've been doing the P90X during this fast. I've also heard of people continuing to run and lift weighs while fasting. I guess you'll need to see how your body responds to working, but people can and do still work while fasting..

    I'm pretty sure that we all go to work while fasting, unless we're having a really bad detox. If you're feeling great, go to work and enjoy it!

    Do you guys maintain your exercise routines while fasting?
    I do, but I drink lots of potent green juices and get plenty of pre-digested protein. If you're doing a water fast then you might want to take a break from (strenuous) exercising - rebounding and walking are great during a fast, though, as they stimulate the lymph fluid and help you detoxify faster (especially the rebounding). I also wouldn't exercise heavily if you're doing a mostly fruit fast, but I know some people will disagree with that.

    go all out

    when on the go bring a bottle full of fruit juice for sugar kick / energy

    and bottle full of nut / seed mylk if needed for strength . yes the mylks arent cleanest fast but their still liquid
    thusly keeping tract free of solids which keeps the pollutant evacuation mode going at a high level imo

    i also bring salted sun seed in shell when working / on the go , if feeling weak i'll put several in mouth and
    the salt gives me strength . if need be i'll crack a few seeds and let them disinegrate on tongue

    using the mylks / seeds for little boosts on fasts allows me to , by putting a tiny amount in the tract for strength ,
    wage the fast an alot longer distance . where as without these cheats my fast would end days sooner . thusly i see
    nothing wrong with these little cheats on a fast

    also orange wedges or raisins to suck on then eject pulp , their sugar gives big boost

    and over the months / years one improves at fasting the cheats become un needed and you get to a cleaner and cleaner
    cell cleanth state , i see it all as work towards developing the long term / eternal fasting habit . so however i can spend
    more days fasting is good , even if i have to throw a few seeds or nut / seed mylk in my tract to continue the work
