Default I know Kale is good for you, but can't stand the taste?

Is this just me? In a salad it's too overpowering and when I put it in my smoothies it ruins them ! But I know it is good for you! Should I just stick with spinach? I feel the same way about ice-burg lettuce (blah!)

How about greens like chard or collards? Have you tried dino kale vs curly kale?

Our Costco now carries organic "baby kales". WHOLE different taste than the mature kale! It's from Earthbound Farms.

But to answer your question - sure, stick with the spinach for now. You can also use Romaine lettuce. I don't care for mustard greens, even 1 leaf is too much for me.

Oh - wanted to add. Further down the road to Rawville, try kale again. You may be surprised how much our tastes can change with this way of eating!

Yay! I can't wait for my tastebuds to change! I can watch my brother's eating pastries and be repulsed and not want them! I know this is the best way, and know we should eat to live, but still think eating should be enjoyable as it was with cooked foods and know it will be! I'm only 18 and just a seed!

The only way I used to be able to eat kale was as cheesy kale chips.. Oh yummy!! Now I can handle it in smoothies and salads..

look up massaged kale salad and iceburg will grow on you if you want to like it. Choose firm, dense heads and add a lovely raw dressing and you'll be eating it up like you always loved it. I always have liked lettuce of almost all sorts and iceburg I have eaten like others bite into an apple - all my life.

Oh yes -- massaged kale salad is my FAVE!!!! I have it almost every day now. And kale chips are sooooo good -- you can try making them in the oven if your oven goes down to 100 degrees.

I've never been a fan of iceberg but MT you have inspired me!
