Metaphysics...anyone? anyone?

Ok touchy subject i know, but what the hell! There is a thread on Christianity and a bunch of other stuff here so i thought id ask? Anyone here not into organized religion but into metaphysics? If so what or who is it that you are into?

I'm not into metaphysics, but I just wanted to say that this shoudn't be a "touchy subject". I'm sure that we're all adults here and we all realize that not everyone here subscribes to the same religious or spiritual beliefs...we're all on different paths.

I am a member of a board where their spiritual section has everything from Christianity to Paganism to Wicca to Traditional Afrikan religions and even Atheism. Anyone should feel free to discuss their beliefs in a thread dedicated to their belief system without anyone getting offended. I can see if this were openly a christian-based forum, but it's not from what I can see.

So, don't feel on edge about starting this topic. I've learned quite a lot from that other forum reading about all the different religions and one thing I've gotten if nothing else is a sense of more respect for other religions of the world.

I'm open to learning from the wisdom of any religion. I'm sort of ecclectic that way. I'm all for religious tolerance and respecting one another's beliefs. I've recently been studying metaphysics, particularly Science of Mind, but I wouldn't say it's my only spiritual interest.

Did anyone see "What the Bleep?" I saw it twice, and I loved it.

Rawkinlocs, yes i know your right, i guess itÂ’s just that i never talk about my beliefs anymore unless i know people are open to it. Im glad everyone here is so open to each otherÂ’s thoughts and belief!

CherimoyaMel, we just saw what the bleep. I was blown away, not by what they were saying but because what they were saying is the way i live my life and have been for the past 15 years and now here is this movie talking about reality creation, that all lifetimes are happening simultaneously, that this is the dream and the reality is what you do while your in meditation and while your creating your reality with your beliefs not while your in the so called 'real' word. Anyway, it was so amazing that this is out there and that people are opening their minds to it! Whooo imagine if and when everyone gets that they create their own reality what a powerful word it will be!
Ive worked with the Lazaris material for many many years and that whole movie is what he has talked about and taught for years.

I am interested in metaphysics and am somewhat gifted I guess you could say...I believe what you ask for and believe in the universe sends your way. I am a Christian and I believe in God but God gave us a mind to use and we are no where near using it!!!

I don't know much about metaphysics Allisa, but it sounds interesting. I don't subscribe to any organized religion, but I consider myself a spiritual person. I'm very nature led. I feel a real connection to the earth but also the human spirit. I think we all have so much strength, power, and love in us that we never even allow ourselves to experience.

Alissa, I have just read a little about metaphysics and it is very interesting. I have been burned by organized religion many time and this sounds more like what I have in mind. Thank you so much for opening this up ;)

Metaphysics is hard to define. The premise is that there are invisible realities and spiritual laws in the universe which most people only recognize on a subconscious level unless we study metaphysics or have some sort of intuitive epiphany.

I think that's the best I can do for a definition. I hope it helped.

I haven't spent a lot of time with those teachings, although I know several people who live their life by them.

I'm all for throwing information out there ~ I think it's a great thing to spend time acquainting yourself with information that is currently foreign. The worst that could happen is that you'll disagree. The best? A potenial epiphany.

I'm a bit shy sharing myself, but I think that comes from a lifetime of being judged.

I agree wrecked spark, those of us who may have different beliefs than the majority are judged way too often, I knew (but yet didnt) at a very young age, there was more to this world than what appeared....anyone that I tried to explain it to, thought I was nuts (maybe or maybe not)

I only have a second to write as I am already (always) late BUT I am really really into metaphysics. I have been studing the subject at hand for the past years. It is such a spiritually amazing world that we live in!! I will write more as soon as I get back home. So glad that you started this thread! Good idea! I can't wait to see "What the bleep".......hopefully it will be around our theather soon!
