Default Which veggies lend themselves to blending well in a Vitamix with less pulp?

I'm looking for vegetables like tomatoes - I'm looking for "high water content" vegetables which lend themselves well to blending in a vitamix and making green smoothies with less pulp. I prefer to make quick drinks without the need for straining

I'm really new to this, and have no real cooking/kitchen experience, so forgive my lack of knowledge of vegetables, etc.

Can anyone help me with a suggested list of vegetables which blend well (vitamix)? Or maybe I should ask which vegetables to be careful of if I want lower pulp blended vegetable drinks.

I know I can add water but i'm looking for vegetable ideas.

    Thanks very much!

cucumber has high water content but generally the water content of veg is lower than that of fruit so you will have more pulp and less water. You can add drinking water to thin it all down but this will thin the flavour too. You really need a juicer for veg drinks I think.

Yeah, I used cucumber tonight with tomatoes and other veggies to make a 'V8' like drink. Worked out very well, considering I'm still new to the vitamix. Although this one turned out fine, I'm beginning to realize that I'll have to use a strainer at times. Adding extra water sometimes helps but like you say, Georgina, it affects flavor too.

I make veggie smoothies in my Vitamix but I add an orange and a splash of organic apple juice for liquid - then the veggies. Sometimes I use a little water instead of juice. I agree - for juice with no pulp you'll need a juicer.

I'm not looking for no pulp, just light pulp. My juicer is hard to clean, I prefer my vitamix, hands down.
