Please Rate My Diet - Eczema
I am 26yr old male. The reason I have looked into raw food diet is because of my eczema. My diet previously was just filled with ton of pork, beef, seafood, dairy, rice, pastry.. just terrible. I had eczema all my life but felt no need to change my diet because eczema was not that bad.. Until a few weeks ago when I just broke out completely all over body. Really terrible stuff. 5 days ago, doctor prescribed me steroid ointment and it seemed to control the symptoms in two days. I am going to stop this treatment to see if raw diet alone can "cure" eczema and heal the eczema scars accumulated all my life.
Today is day 6 on 100% raw. Actually yesterday I sort of cheated and had two bowls of miso soup with seaweed and couple of slices of kimchi. Normally my days on raw looked like:
Breakfast: large salads + apple: lettuce, kale, cilantro, cabbage white, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, broccoli sprout
Lunch: 1 banana, 1 apple (at school)
Snack: 1 more fruit
Dinner: either large salad or zuchinni "pasta" with raw dressing + nuts or hemp seeds or .5 avocado.
Soybean paste miso did not seemed to aggravate eczema symptoms so I would love to add miso soup with seaweed to my diet. However with kimchi I noticed that it has seafood seasoning.. which might aggro eczema.
Do you think I need to juice my greens? Or is eating them in large quantity enough?
Do you think I should do a juice fast? Or is just staying 100% raw going to "cure" my eczema.
Please rate my diet. I need a good review.
EDIT: I am 5'11 176lbs (was 183lbs before raw). What is a good weight for my height? I heard 164lbs but that seems really thin..

Welcome on the board
Do you think I need to juice my greens? Or is eating them in large quantity enough? (you can eat them, but make sure you chew until it is water in your mouth. You can consider green smoothie. They are very healing if you juice them.)
Do you think I should do a juice fast? Or is just staying 100% raw going to "cure" my eczema. (It depends of your body, try to stick to 100% raw, it will cure. I find that i need to stay away from nuts. Some people need to go deeper and doing a juice fast is enough, for me i did two detox and even water fast to go deeper and i am still healing. If you have good kidney, you will be fine but you could have weak kidney also, which would explain the acidocist back up. When our lymph fluid cannot be drain, our skin is use as a third kidney. Don't be shy to eat plenty of ripe organic fruits, wild if you can)
Please rate my diet. I need a good review. ( You have a great diet, perhaps replace the nuts with hemp seeds or sunflower sprouted, or avocado. I would avoid the nut just for now)
EDIT: I am 5'11 176lbs (was 183lbs before raw). What is a good weight for my height? I heard 164lbs but that seems really thin.. (you seem to have a pretty decent weight. i think what matter is how your feel, if you have energy and radiant of health. I think the weight need to be redefine for raw food people. We don't even know what is normal or not because we aren't use to be raw vegan, we had been so program to do cook food and it was passed down to us from generation to generation. )

Thank you so much for taking time to answer many of my questions. I really appreciate it.
I had an eczema break out 2 years ago and I hadn't had it since I was a child. After much research, I tried a raw diet and it helps. However, the key is to do a serious detox. I use herbs. Also, make sure your liver is functioning optimally. You should add milk thistle. Also, you may want to make sure you don't have any food sensitivities as that will aggravate your eczema. I found mine are regular tomatoes (I can eat heirloom) and coffee. Even when I went raw, I still had coffee for a while before I gave it up. When I did, my eczema cleared up a lot. I find juicing mainly greens helps.
Thank you for sharing your experience with your eczema. So far I have drowned the symptoms with steroid ointment but now I am off the meds and will let my body heal naturally.
Is your eczema gone and in control as long as you keep out trigger foods and eat raw? Did it leave you with unattractive scars? If so, did your scars disappear? And how long did that take? My eczema scars from childhood disappeared but I'm afraid that I am older (26) that these scars will be permanent.
your diets on right track to me . from my reading over the years in skin conditions i always opt for raw vitamin a and e sources , such as dark greens , carrot and cantalope for a , and sun seeds / spinach for e .
wheat germ also an e source . i also prefer greens whole as opposed to juiced but theres so many bright people in the vegan / raw / juicing community pushing dark green juices to me its a no brainer to add in as much as taste good into diet .
and heres a link to the excellent site mountain rose herbs concerning dandelion roots helpful affect with eczema , eczema part is at bottom of article : http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/lea...elion_root.php
you could find own dandelion roots and juice them , along with the greens . you just have to make sure your collecting the dandelion from a place that hasnt been treated with herbicide / fertilizer / etc

getting enough sunshine helped me greatly in healing my eczema as well :)
Good Morning. I also suffer from eczema and when I was raw, it went away. My scars took awhile to go away. Milk thistle is very good. U can soak it to make a tea or add it to green smoothies which is what I did. We need loads of zinc in our body so make sure there are dark veggies. I am allergic to tomatoes and oranges when I was younger yet I can consume some of it now. I just still drink lots of water to flush out my system.
