    Default Back in Transition

Hello all! My name is Rochelle. I used to hang around this forum several years ago and sort of drifted away, but I'm back now. I'm ready to get back to a high raw diet. I'm not sure that I'll ever make it to 100% raw; I know that's the best thing, but for now, I'm working toward 75% or better.

I'm doing this because overall, I know it's the best thing I can do for my health. My addiction to SAD has left me with little energy, mood swings, skin that desperately needs a pick-me-up, and all sorts of little issues that I'd rather not deal with lol. Also, I have psoriasis and the worse I eat, the worse it gets. It's worse now than it's ever been. It was at its best when I was on a high raw diet (75%-ish) and had done a liver cleanse, so I need to go back to that. I miss feeling energized and healthy; having bright, clear skin, no aches or pains, more consistent moods, and just feeling better all around.

I'm going to begin my transition tomorrow and I'm really excited about it. I'm already a vegan, but I know high raw will be even better. I'm a little nervous about failing because I do seem to love my crappy food lol, but I suppose that's normal and I'll just need to get through it. I've learned that I do a much better job of staying on track when I surround myself with people/things that keep me motivated. Just reading this forum will help!

I plan to take some "Before" pictures tonight, and I can't wait to have some great "After" pictures later on.

    Happy to meet you all!

Welcome back! Can't wait to see the improvements. If you're looking for support/inspiration check out the 12 steps to raw food DVD by Victoria Boutenko, on sale now for $5. It helped me make the switch. Food addiction is powerful, but you can overcome it!

Thanks! It sure is powerful. I think I'll check out that dvd...thanks for telling me about it. Food Matters always inspires me, as does the tv show You Are What You Eat with Gillian McKeith. Have you seen it? She's amazing.

    Are you new here too?
