Default Dehydrating with a plastic container

Hi folks, just wondering should there be any concerns dehydrating (at 40 deg or less) with a plastic container at all? In particular, this one: http://www.ikea.com/ie/en/catalog/products/60166733/

Just to dry out things like buckwheat, I have a TSM dehydrator and the trays are pretty big, but when I dry out buckwheat, even having folded the sides of bakers parchment paper, you still get little bits of buckwheat being blown around.

Any feedback appreciated or suggestions on tray type holders that will still give a good drying environment.

I spread my Buckwheat on my Teflex Sheets and they dry great that way. I think it'll take longer to dry in a container. I never have a problem with them flying around...

I do the same as Renee, using the Teflex sheets. I don't have them flying around per se, but I do get some on the bottom of the dehydrator. I have used a 9x13" glass cake dish before. I remove trays and am able to slide in the cake pan right into the tray rack slots. It's pretty nifty! I've covered dishes with plastic wrap before as well.

Ah, might try the glass shelf. I know the excalibur dehydrator has trays that actually have a raised edge around them, the one I have is flat which is how the buckwheat is blown easily.

This looks like it could work too: http://www.ikea.com/ie/en/catalog/products/00133043/

Also, this may need another thread of it's own, but I wonder would something like this: http://www.ikea.com/ie/en/catalog/products/10196662/ work well instead of teflex sheets? It'd be a lot easier to clean anyway, just wipe it without having to worry about creasing it etc. It seems to be the perfect fit for my TSM D10 dehdrator anyway!
