    Smile Greetings from Norway :)

    Hello everyone,

I'm from Norway and I'm planning to go over to a more raw food oriented diet. I am already eating more raw foods, but I would like to eat more. I'm not sure if I will ever have a 100% raw food diet, it depends if I'm able to keep it up etc.

I have already noticed some changes after eating more raw, I feel less and less a need to eat sausages, hamburgers etc. Not that I ever was that into unhealthy foods, but I have noticed the change :)
I want to start sprouting beans and seeds, and make nut pastes etc. I know raw foods can be so good.

I do wonder though, do you take supplements of vitamin D etc? As there aren't that many vegetables that contain that.
I'm gonna make hummus from scratch soon:) I don't know if the tahini you buy in the shops has been heated, so I decided to just use sesame seeds instead.

Nice to meet you all :)

Welcome to RFT! Everyone here is at their own level of raw, some trying to get to 100%, others already at 100%, and some still who choose to eat maybe 80 or 90% of their foods raw. You are in the right place!

I am just starting to sprout again, so can not speak a lot about that. I just know I like them and last night ordered about 7 kinds of seeds online for sprouting. I was disheartened when my jars did not fit into my wine rack though. Perhaps I was buying too small of bottle of wine? LOL. I am going to find or make another rack to fit my glass jars.

I have made the nut butters and sorbets and banana icecream with my juicer and they are all divine!

I do not take vitamin D supplements. As I understand, 10 to 15 minutes of sunshine 3x per week covers that. Maybe I am naughty, but that one I just do not worry about as I get plenty of sunshine. When I am not outside, I am am generally sitting by a window.

A few are doing a February 30 All Raw Challenge. You might want to join in for your jump start. It is at your own level and it might be a good way to get started. I am just coming off of a short juice fast and am transitioning to solids on the 30 Challenge.

Welcome and hope to see you around here more!

    Take care!
