Norwalk Juicer

Does anybody have this juicer. I would like to hear about it compared to other juicers. Is it worth the money?

I don't own one but have done a fair amount of research on them. It comes highly recommended by the Gerson Institute. A Norwalk juicer is going to be the most efficient press of pulp that you can get.

Also known as a juice press, it is one of the most efficient ways to extract juice. The juice produced is barely oxidized, tastes the best, and has the longest shelf life and stability according to Jeremy A Saffron in his book The Raw Truth. That seems to me a good explanation as to why it is the juicer of choice for clinical regimens.

heres a video by small appiance / juicer expert john kohler . also , notice in upper right corner there'll be another video about the welles juice press which ma be of interest in order to get a grasp on entire spectrum of juicers . also , a few years ago i bought the best commercial model champion and didnt like it because it spins too fast and makes juices foamy . in this video john states the champion spins at 1800 rpm , well the sampson in video plus the omega 8006 series and omega vert spin at like 80 rom = NO FROTH = HEALTHIER BETTER TASTING JUICE . ive checked them out at stores and my angle is the sampson and omega 8006 types have the extending away from housing arm where you push produce into , well this style puts stress on part where extending arm meets the juicer base . its like to me long term that might loosen or crack the extension at the main housing joint of juicer body . but the omega vert you push down right over top of juicer body making it so your not stressing any extended parts = longer lasting design . but ive not used it so it may have flaws but john loves it . i can say i looked it over at bedbathbeyond and its very heavy and very sturdily built . it can be bought at bbb for around 300 with 10 year warranty , norwalk cost 2500 . and the norwalk spins at over 1000 rpm , meaning to me the omega vert or omega 8006 / sampson make healthier juices for way less money and huge term warranties . heres link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XM3VgyJszM

Thank you for the input. I will be getting one soon.Sounds like Omega's the way to go. As soon as I can justify to my hubby on spending that much. Over $100 we both must agree. Ikept breaking blenders thats how I got the vitamix. but my juicer hasn't broken in 5 years.

I have also decided I will be purchasing an Omega to replace my Breville. Not only do they get great reviews, they look the best on the counter. I like the concept of a Norwalk but $2500 is a hefty price tag I am not willing to pay for my juicer.

I finally get it NORWALK juicer is named after Norman Walker. Just saw it on there website. Still wish we had a way to see all of the juicers in one place and taste there juice. I am looking at the vertical Omega. It its more efficient it my pay for itself by saving the amount of produce I have to juice.
