    not that i'm aware of.

your body doesn't like the salt water hence why it flushes it right out of you! personally i don't do any of these (SWF, enemas, colonics) - instead i allow my body to do it's own thing. works for me. ;)

For those of you who do the salt water flush, what kind of salt do you usually use?

Just thought I would reply with my latest and first SWF experience... Unfortunately for me it has not worked! I woke up early this morning, made the mixture with 2tsp and one quart, and drank it all.. Had a few BMs but nothing more than normal, was still feeling constipated.. Thought the SWF would help me with this! But no, since then I have become EXTREMELY bloated - so uncomfortable and worried I have retained all of that salt! Ugh
Should have listened to my intuition and not do the SWF.. It has completely backfired and left me feeling worse than before - my opinion is that they work for some and not for others, unfortunately not for me!

One quart of water is not enough water, first. Second, did you dissolve the salt fully in warm water before drinking it? Also, you need to drink it pretty quickly so it literally flushes the system.

Doesn't it need to be epsom salt? As a part of the liver/gallbladder cleanse it uses epsom salts to help clear your colon before and after you drink the oil/citrus juice. When I went to put it in my cart on Amazon it said it was used for "short term relief from constipation". I'm not sure sea salt will give the same result as they are two different things. Epsom salt is a chemical compound containing magnesium, sulfur and oxygen. While sea salt is mostly chloride and sodium with some (3%) magnesium and traces of other minerals.

All the websites I read said 1 liter/quart with 2 teaspoons.. I did let the salt melt/mix in warm water and drunk it all warm in less than 2 minutes..

I waited two hours and then started drinking regular purified water in fear of being super dehydrated..
Waited another 4 hours and decided to have a green smoothie packed with potassium to help with all the sodium!

Funny thing is - 10 hours later now and I finally had a good 'flushing out' after consuming a fair bit of water and the green smoothie, I guess things sorted themselves out - eventually! Still a little bloated I'm guessing from the salt? Not sure.. But feeling much better than a few hours ago!
