Default Will loose skin ever go away? Help!!!!!

    Hello!!!

I'm 25 years old and weigh about 235lbs. I have been overweight nearly all my life. Do think with the combine of Green smoothie, Green Juice, Wheatgress, MSM, Organic Raw Fruits, Vegetables, Nuts, Seeds, 3 liter of water and 1 hour of weight training will help me reverse and tighten my loose skin on my arms and thighs? What should I do? I need help!!!

    hi there
i think it will depends on how much loose skin you are talking about..i think doing a lot of weight training will help a lot, however its got to do more with what you eating then how much effort you putting at the gym.
if you eat let say,a lot of sugar, you are waisting your time going to the gym.But if you sticking to a good diet such as raw foods, you should be able to do it.
    how tall are you?

    1 hour of weight training...a day?...a week?

When I first went raw I lost 80 pounds in 6 months. I ate whatever I wanted as long as it was raw. I worked out at a gym about 20 hours a week...treadmill, bike, elliptical and weights. I am more than 20 years older than you, so my skin is not as elastic as yours.

I had NO loose skin after the 80 pounds were gone!

I would not categorize what you have as loose skin. That is just fat under your skin. Once you lose the fat your skin will shrink in again especially at 25. A raw food diet with lots of fruits and vegetables will allow you to lose the fat. The weight training is good but I would also add some cardio of some kind. Even just a walk. You do not need to do an hour of weights a day. In fact you should take a day off in between sessions especially if you are working the same muscle groups each session. Why don't you alternate between cardio and weights. If you try to do too much you may not last at it. Let us know how it goes.

Ok, That's good!! People keep telling me that I have loose skin, and the only way to get rid of it, Is to get surgery. My doctor told me that I will need surgery also.

I would eat raw and get down to a normal weight before you did anything drastic like surgery. You cannot know what your skin will do until you loose some weight and anyone who tells you differently is not to be listened to. At 25 your skin will contract once there is no fat to stretch it out. Really - even 40 year olds have not been left with saggy skin upon losing weight. I'm 54 so I'm not sure mine will be so elastic still

I believe doctors will only tell you to get is surgery to keep them and the medical field pay. Doctors got to get paid too!!! According to these websites, You can get rid of fat or loose skin.

    Hello,

At one point I lost about seventy pounds and had a lot of loose skin on my stomach, arms, etc. I can tell you that yes, a lot of this flabby skin will tighten up, but over a process of several years with healthy diet and exercise. There is a myth that loose skin can never be "tightened" because we in the west are so fixated on surgery as a solution to everything. Building muscle and losing fat at a healthy rate will do the trick. You may not ever be as toned as someone who wasn't overweight in the first place, but I don't think that's anything to cry about.

Also keep in mind that obsessing over your body interferes with weight loss and health! This is proven psychological fact. The more we adhere to a negative body image, the more we "punish" ourselves by slipping on our diet and exercise routines. Try to concentrate on the positive benefits that you get from the changes you make in your life, and remember, there is no quick and fast solution to having perfect health! Even if you go on a raw diet, it may take years to fully detox, lose weight, etc.
