Default Almost 40 and looking to feel better than ever

I am very interested in transitioning to a raw diet, but I feel I need to be realistic about it so that I don't fail. I would love to
be able to do the 30 raw challenge but I'm a school teacher who barely eats when I'm busy... mostly b/c I "feel" I don't have the time to prepare something for myself so my breakfast/lunch might consist of a peanut butter and honey sandwich and dinner could be tacos or popcorn. I might eat fresh fruit and veggies once or twice a week. I recently watched "Fat, Sick, andNearly Dead" and "Food Matters" and want to make a healthy change. For the past few years I've been saying I want to look and feel better at 40 than I did at 20. Why should only men look better the older they get??? :)

So, here's my dilemma... I need variety, to know there are things I can eat besides salads all the time. But I also don't have a lot of time. I don't currently have a dehydrator (money). And, I have a large problem with
some veggie and fruit textures. Sounds like I have my work cut out for me, right? :)

All in all, I'm giving it a go. I'm going to try to incorporate mostly raw into my diet, if nothing else, cutting all animal products out of my diet and try to end up all raw. That's the goal. Wouldn't it be awesome if we could just have raw chefs prepare our every meal for us? ha ha!

Dates and carrots might take care of your sweet tooth. Also, find desserts you like ~ chocolate? Make date/nut torte, chocolate mousse, etc. Even eating those every day will be a big step in the right direction. You can find some really great recipes in Alissa's first book. I'd suggest getting her dvd set as well so you can create scrumptious food to eat at any time.
