For anyone interested in buying a juicer, the Amazon Deal of the Day is an Omega 8005.

I kinda made it up a little.

    1 cup chia seeds.
    1/2 cup almond butter.
    zest of 1 lemon
    Juice of 1 lemon
2 cups water ( most people use almond milk didn't want to make any so I used almond butter)
    1 teasp. of vanilla
    sprinkle of cinnamin.

I also make a good chocolate one leave out the lemon use 2 tablespoon of raw cacao powder. BLEND.
Blend and refrigerate you can eat it when its chilled soo good.
    ENJOY

I love chia seeds. I often leave some to soak over night and then blend up in a green smoothie in the morning. so satisfying and keeps hunger at bay for ages!

You need to keep them in an air tight container to keep them crispie.

I had a really hard/crazy weekend and Monday.. Today has been better. I did manage to stay steady through it all though and I'm thankful for that. But I did run out of "fun" raw foods to eat. So today I'm making some more nut cheese, kale chips, and zuchinni fries..

    I LOVE raw!!

Started today with my usual banana and a few walnuts.

Then for lunch we went to the new Lydia's cafe that opened near us (they have a full menu of raw foods). Unfortunately it was pretty awful. I had their "Sanwish" which ended up being quite boring, for lack of a better description. It was basically the same crust that they put on their pizzas that they sell in the store, but with some cashew cheese and tomatoes crammed inbetween two pieces of it. The hubby ordered a cacao smoothie, which we both agreed had a horrible lingering flavor.. not sure if they used rancid nut milk or what! The only good thing was their raw cinnamon roll which I actually have no complaints about, but it wasn't good enough to convince me to go back there again.

Then this afternoon, because it's my hubby's birthday, we had a Merry's Miracle Tart... if you guys haven't tried these, you really should. They're incredible, but they're loaded with all sorts of fat which I'm trying to limit. But they're sooooo yummy! They come in all sorts of flavors: chocolate, mint chocolate, meyer lemon (my fave), lime, chocolate almond. A perfect birthday treat, but not something I personally would be able to eat on a regular basis.

So I think that's all we'll be eating today. There is a huge container of perfectly ripe raspberries in the kitchen that are calling to me, so I might nosh on some in a few hours...

GoodCat, how do you do your Zucchini Fries?

Green Juice: Kale, Swiss Chard, Celery, Apple, Myer Lemon, Ginger

Chia pudding with my homemade almond milk, cut up Bananas

I was going to have a salad, but my avocado was not ripe enough yet
I was in the process of making homemade Cheezy Kale Chips, so I took some of the "Cheeze" and massaged some kale with it, and had myself a Kale
Cheezy salad. I also was able to make 4 trays of Kale Chips that will be ready tomorrow YUMMY!!

Chia Pudding with more bananas. I also add Lucuma powder to my pudding, and it is so good!!

    Night!

Confession time....Today I chewed on something non-raw, savored the flavour and spat it in the bin!
I wasn't hungry, just craved the taste!

Anyone else done this?? I am pretty sure there must be someone else out there! Lol!

During the course of the morning I had a small papino.
Lunch was a lettuce, tomato and avo salad with flaxseed
Dinner was a bowl of watermelon and some raw cashews.

Yes Jeannie I was juice fasting and started chewing on grapes I was washing for my kids then spit it out. Tasting is just a habit when preparing foods.

My hubby and I watched Fat sick and nearly dead. He decided to juice fast also. We are starting Monday.
Last night I had my yummy chia pudding and two pears. This morning lots of green juice. I can't wait to start my fast again. Im waiting till monday because last time I didn't survive the weekend.
Mood is great and my energy is high. I love juicing january. I pick up my box from the co-op tonight. I can't wait to make a yummy salad. My kids will probably just eat fruit and salad for dinner too.
Still keeping it simple. After the juice fast I am so happy to eat my fruit I could care less if I ate anything else. I really have a new control over my hunger.SO PROUD OF MYSELF. and SO PROUD OF MY FELLOW RAW FRIENDS.

Since I'm leaving home early AM, I'll have another green juice for breakfast, and take some cuties with me for our meeting.
I'm all prepared for smoothies now at the office, so that will be lunch, just fruit, coconut water, strawberries, mangoes.
I bought some bok choy, so I'll have that for dinner with dehydrated mushrooms.
And of course, cuties through the day.
I'm soaking almonds to prepare the garlic bread recipe that's going around. First time a bread recipe is made with something other than sprouts. Hurray!
Yum CUTIES!!! Love love love.. I just bought a box of them, and they are perfect for snacking. So flavor-packed for being such small little buggers.

Yesterday and today I have been eating a lot of coconut. Coconut water, coconut meat, coconut oil.. I guess my body needs the fats. More juice this morning: kale, chard, spinach, celery, cuke, apple and orange. I think I am going to try some lemon in there tomorrow morning.

Smoothie for lunch: banana, mango, spinach/collards, chia seeds

Dinner is gonna be salad with avocado and cucumber I think. I am craving nut butters so maybe I'll bring along some celery sticks and almond butter to snack on while I'm at work tonight.

My work schedule is all over the board so it's been interesting trying to figure out meal plans that work for different time frames each day. I must say it does bring variety into my life because not all mornings I can make juice or smoothies. I need to figure out more quick fix breakfasts to bring along...I've been mostly eating whole fruit on those mornings.

and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind:

Jeannie I did that when I first started going raw. I'm sure most people have.
The longer I stay on the diet, the less I crave cooked food.
Now I'm trying to get my kids to eat mostly raw, so I cook a lot less, which means I'm not tempted as much ;)

I basically ate pretty much the same things I ate yesterday. I'm running out of food, I need to go shopping tomorrow. Hubby is bring home spinach and oranges, so I'll probably juice them for breakfast tomorrow yum!

    what are cuties?

today I had a big green smoothie for breakfast
small massaged kale salad for lunch followed by an orange and apple - which i shouldn't have combined as felt a bit bloated in the afternoon then.
I was craving tomatoes this evening so had lots of tomatoes with onion bread and rocket.

I feel like i've eaten loads today, but have still found myself feeling hungry for each meal, which is good. some days I eat very little and don't feel all that hungry, but then I worry that i'm not getting enough nutrients.

how do people feel about eating meals even if you're not particularly hungry, but feel like you should eat something to get your nutrients?

Cuties are little clementine oranges. I think it's Costco that markets them as cuties, but they're just clementines. :-)

Today has been good so far. Two bananas for breakfast, but no walnuts today. I'm trying to cut down on the overt fats in my diet to keep the ol' gallbladder happy. For lunch, a big green salad with a strawberry/balsamic/basil dressing that I blended up. It was actually really tasty, and totally fat free, yay!

Not sure yet what we'll do for dinner. Probably another green salad, maybe with a different kind of dressing. I'm thinking of trying to use artichoke hearts as part of a dressing.. seems like they might be a good binder... though I've never tried using artichoke raw, so I guess we'll see!
