Thank you Cathy... I have most of those herbs here.. I'll start taking it tomorrow. Have a fun day with your children!!
Today I mostly had a green smoothie, salad, and a few "crackers" with the nut cheese.. I know I probably shouldn't have the nut cheese, but there was nothing else to have and I didn't want to eat anything non raw...
I'm going to take a nice warm bath and read in bed :)

You will love the omega when you get it - it is fabulous! easiest juicer I ever had.
I had kale, carrots, apple, celery and cuke for my juice micture today. Yum!
I'm loving how cukes make the juice taste.
Rest of the day was fruit, fruit, and more fruit. Went shopping. Bought enough for an army!
veggies and fruit for home, and fruit and berries for the office for the new smoothie blender I got today.
I don't like the taste of a drink sitting in a jar in the fridge for a few hours, so I bought something inexpensive to have at work
to make my life nice and easy.
Even my husband is getting into this.
Finished off the coconut macaroons.
Bought meyers lemons - will have to find a great recipe for the dehydrator.

Day 6
Wow, what a day, what a day. I juiced baby spinach and it tasted as though I was drinking milk. Has anyone experienced this taste sensation? I also had carrot juice for dinner and finally water, water, water. what I have noticed is that I have not been drinking enough of water which will be my goal for tomorrow on because my lips feel dry today.
-
whenever i drink cold water I get so chilled, but i like the taste of it better cold than warm...I know i need to drink it, though so I do it anyway. Does anyone else get cold after drinking water?
-
yep, my system can't handle cold except in the summer. when we go to 115 degrees, cold water sure feels good.
water has to be a certain temp for me or I can't get it down. Lemon does the trick for me. I drink half
a gallon a day, so I also use one of those bottles with the spout that pulls out and it also gets down that way.
Probably some remembrance of drinking from a bottle. My 2 y/o nephew even picked it up and drank from it.

changeisgood,
I haven't heard anyone complain about the Omega yet. I can't wait to reach the goal so that I can go buy it.
I also just bought some Meyers lemons for the first time. I'm looking for some recipes, but if you figure out anything great to do with them in the dehydrator please post. Thanks.

I sometimes get brainfreeze from drinking water that is icy cold!
But here where it can get over 40 degrees C, it is refreshing. I guess I will risk brainfreeze :-)
Todays menu.. green smoothie with collard greens, banana, parsley and cucumber. The cucumber makes
it nice, takes the edge off the bitterness you sometimes get with green smoothies.
I made enough green smoothie to last most of the day, and then for dinner I had a big salad with carrot and bean sprouts.

Major juice morning -
mixed fresh citrus juice - oranges and grapefruit into a blend of spinach, celery, cuke, carrot, apple. That was delicious.
I've already drank a quart, but I've been up since 4AM.
I'll probably spend the rest of the morning in the bathroom. LOL!
Going out for lunch, so it will have to b a salad. And then I'll make a smoothie for dessert - berries, mango, apple - haven't decided yet.
I bought asparagus, so for dinner I'll make a soup.
Glad it's the weekend, I can dehydrate till my hearts content!
The only thing I would have liked different for the omega - is a handle on the container the juice goes into. When it fills to the top, I tend to spill a little. I've had to lick the counter a couple of times (just kidding!).

Juice for breakfast- apple, orange, papaya, carrot, celery, kale, spinach
Smoothie for lunch- banana, strawberry, wild blueberries, goji berries, chia seeds
dinner will be salad with greens, and salad with avocado, endive and grapefruit... with fresh mint. Sounds weird but OH SO GOOD
Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind,
and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind:
and God saw that it was good. "The most sublime truth of all has never been stated or written or sung,
not because it is far away and can’t be reached but because it is so intimately close,
closer than anything that can be spoken." - Gangaji

For breakfast, my usual banana.
And then we went to the farmer's market where we sampled various fruits and also some raw yacon. The yacon tasted a lot like jicama.
For lunch we had a big green salad at Panera Bread (but no bread obviously). I love that salads are so accessible at just about any kind of restaurant!
For dinner, we ended up at Cafe Gratitude in Berkeley, and I ordered their all raw Caesar Salad. But I didn't really pay attention to how much dressing they put on the salad, which in retrospect was A LOT! It's a nut based dressing, and probably had added oils in it as well. My gallbladder was not very happy with me after that, so from here on out, I really need to be a stickler about not eating too many nuts and fatty things in a day.
So yeah, a busy day, but all in all a good one.. and lesson learned about the fats!

YAY!! I made it all raw even with the huge party we had all day for our children
We were gone from 1:30 this afternoon till about 9:30 tonight.
We had 28 people bowling and then everyone went to Longhorn Steakhouse.
Well here is what I did.....
I made 2- 4cup jars full of green juice and had one in the morning before we left, and then drank the other one at the bowling alley when everyone else was eating their snacks and drinking their sodas ;) I even had a couple of people want to try my green drink, and they liked it ;)
I had brought my own salad dressing with me just in case we went out to a steakhouse after bowling. So at the restaurant I ordered a big salad with romaine, and salad mix which was the red and dark green lettuces. I got cut up strawberries, oranges, red grapes, and then used my own dressing. It was VERY yummy and I didn't miss anything that they were eating. When everyone else was stuffed, I felt great ;)
I know I didn't consume very much today, but I knew that we were going to be out and busy, so it all worked out great in the end.

Cathy - did you bring the cut up fruit? I've taken fruit salad with me to a restaurant
I love the idea of putting on the greens. What type of dressing did you use?

Day 7 was good again. Smoothie for breakfast. Then we went to a movie. I brought some baby carrots and dehydrated kale which was completely satisfying and lasted longer than my son's popcorn. I admit that I had 1 kernel of popcorn. My typical dose is a large that is refillable. And yes, I refill every time. So, I'm glad I tested myself with the 1 kernel. I can't believe I didn't eat any more. Lunch was the leftover pasta with portobello sauce from yesterday. Dinner was a nice salad. )My husband and son went out to a steak restaurant. I thought that wouldn't be a great place for me - too much temptation.) Zucchini marinated in lemon/garlic/olive oil is dehydrating. Just had an apple and will look forward to tomorrow.

Morning everyone!
Evie - giving me great ideas. I just bought mushrooms - didn't think of making it into a sauce. Will definitely try that for dinner.
And I bought zucchini, and I love the combo of garlic, lemon and oil. Will try that one as well.
Breakfast had some apple juice, cutie, and apple.
Lunch will be a green smoothie.
Dinner - I'm trying for the zucchini with the portobello sauce. If it's a flop, then the asparagus soup.
Snacks will be plenty of cuties!
Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Just completed day 6 yay !
I had fennel apple orange and beet juice for breakfast
a green salad with avocado dressing and homemade green olives, 2 oranges and a carrot juice for lunch
For dinner I had a smoothie with alfalfa sprouts, orange juice, bananas flax seeds, chia seeds and a little kelp
I had another couple of oranges a little while ago, and now I'm off to bed.
I'm saving up for a dehydrator! I really want to make some raw crackers, and maybe veggie burgers too... I think staying on a raw diet will be a piece of cake if I can get my hands on a spiralizer and a dehydrator!
Good night everyone!
