Sure, it's a snap! I just soak a handful of cashews for an hour or so. Then I blend them up along with a cup of water, a chunk of onion, half a red pepper and some nutritional yeast to make the standard cashew cheez sauce.

To turn that into soup, I just add a bunch of chopped brocolli, a spoonful of miso, some more water, cumin and cayenne pepper to taste and blend again to desired consistency.

(I usually add some soy sauce and extra yeast, cause I like it extra salty and extra cheesy.) YUMMMM...........

    Chia Pudding, Lucuma Powder, Banana
    Homemade Kale Chips YUMMY!!!
Longhorn Steakhouse BIG salad that they specialized for me. Lots of lettuce, Spring Mix and Romaine, Strawberries, Oranges, Pecan Pieces, Red Grapes.
I brought my own Avocado to add to it, and my own salad dressing. It turned out very yummy!! The only thing that was really hard was watching everyone eat the fresh bread that they brought to the table. But, after dinner everyone was so full, and had tummy aches, and I felt great and satisfied.

sorry to see you go, speltrong. I debate about staying or going often but haven't decided which other site to go to.
    Still investigating.

I had dried fruit for bkfast - miss my juice in the AM when I need to leave sooner then later. And some flax seed crackers.
Made a delicious smoothie for lunch - strawberry, pineapple, mango, almond milk. Delicious!
    Apple for a snack
and a veggie salad for dinner with pecans and a couple of dried figs.
I had a spirulina bar for dessert.

I have to leave early again in morning, this time I'm taking my citrus juicer with me. My body looks forward to it.

Yeah I really miss it when I can't have that orange/grapefruit juice in the morning! It just feels RIGHT.

    Good day yesterday. I had:

guacamole w flax/pulp crackers for breakfast
    snacked on dates for lunch
    marinated brocolli/mushroom/carrot salad for dinner

Getting to the store today to stock up on citrus for juicing and getting myself a coconut to snack on as a special treat.

The detox that started with my juice fast continues: for days now, the wrist I broke 5 years ago has been SO SORE! I never feel anything there, and since this started aching on the last day of my fast I can only guess it's detox.... WEIRD. Kind of cool, though!

    Later gators!

Hello all. I love to see all of your yummy foods. Im keeping it simple. Last night I had grape soda. I juiced grapes and have the soda stream I carbonated filtered water added the grape juice and kids loved it. How could I feel guilty about giving them soda. So this weekend they want orange soda.
Last night I had a salad not big but enough. This morning I had carrot juice with orange, lemon, and grapefruit. For lunch my green juice. I made it with swiss chard. Swiss chard makes the best green juice. I have napa cabbage so I see some Kim Chee in my future.

    Have a rawesome day

I haven't checked in in a week (or two)... but things are going well. I had a bunch of carrots for breakfast this am and an apple for a little midmorning snack. I've lost ten lbs, but I think most of that is because I quit consuming sugar a couple months ago! Only time I'll mention that dreaded word. I'm excited that the weight is leaving! Ideally, throughout this year I'd love to lose 45 more lbs. (At least). I'm glad I can do that while still eating such good, healthy foods!

    Hello people!
    Thanks for the recipe qwerty!
Just a question, I noticed a lot of people are using miso, soya sauce, nutritional yeast... they are not raw though right? But it's okay to use them sparingly? I do love nutritional yeast and tamari

Okay, breakfast was pineapple and spinach juice, and some carrot juice
lunch, big green salad with mung bean sprouts and avocado, and a green smoothie with lettuce and bananas
    dinner, clementines, bananas, and walnuts.

No, they're not raw -- although I think miso is fermented. That's why I say I'm High Raw and not 100%, because I use these ingredients and drink tea. I don't use them sparingly, I use them freely. It's up to you what you feel comfortable with!

Prayers would be appreciated. My endo. called me this afternoon to let me know that the blood work he drew Thurs. has come back abnormal again.
    My TSH is now 0.015
Normal range should be between 0.340 - 5.600
He said that this is in the very dangerous zone, and wants me to try some medicine to see if we can correct it.
I do not want to take the medicine. Not because I'm against taking medicine, but because I don't want to make things worse and not be able to
come off the medicine. We really don't know what we are treating. Yes my TSH is showing one thing, but my other labs are showing something different.
So, if I take this medicine he wants me to take, and I'm really dealing with an autoimmune, then the medicine may do more harm than good.
BUT... I don't want to have a stroke or heart attach either. They say with my numbers that low, that's what could happen. Or I could go into a
Thyroid "storm" and that is VERY dangerous.
I really don't know what to do

    Today I had....
    Chia Pudding, Cocoa powder, Banana
Green Smoothie with Kale, frozen bananas, apple, orange, cherries, Goji Berry Powder, and Maca Powder.
    Kale Chips
Romaine Leaves for my "shells" chopped up Avocado as my "filling" homemade raw ranch as my dressing
    Hempseed Butter
    Bananas with Rawtella

    Prayers for you, cathy!

Are there alternative practitioners you could seek out? I know nothing about autoimmune issues, but it sounds like your reluctance to follow your doctors program may be well founded! I know I'd be thinking along those lines, anyway.

Yesterday I was snacking a lot:

For breakfast I had a banana, an orange and a bowl of chia pudding
For lunch I had a quart of orange/grapefruit juice and some coconut meat
For dinner I had zuchinni pasta w marinated mushrooms, EVOO and nutritional yeast
For snacks I had flax crackers and a whole eggplant! Munched on eggplant jerky

I'm hoping to do lots of juice and a smoothie today.....

Prayers for you donnyandcathy. I'm sending positive thoughts your way.

I have a friend with an autoimmune disorder, and she has been using an orgone blanket that's really helping her. Maybe you can do some research on that. I hope things get better real soon. ((()))

Hi Cathy sorry about your numbers. Im sure your not using table salt. Iodine is very important for Thyroid health. You can get some dulse flakes and add it to your food and see if this helps. Also If you are very hydrated this can drop your TSH levels by dilution.

Try uping your intake of iodine this is probably the most important thing you can do. Seaweed, seaweed, seaweed. I hope things get better. Did you rule out food allergies?

Qwerty988- You are right, I want to treat whatever I am dealing with, naturally. I need to know what I am dealing with so I can know how to treat.
I know whatever it is, that a raw/high raw food diet will only benefit me, and help me to get on the road to healing.
I have dealt with stomach/gastroparesis for almost 3 years, and I have found great success dealing with it naturally and no medication.
We are now thinking that this thyroid problem could be the underlying cause for the gastroparesis.

Lucy76, I will check out the Orgone Blanket, I am open to looking at all options and suggestions.

Traceyraw, I am trying to add iodine through seaweed, and I am using the Pink Himalayan Salts (does it contain iodine)
I also use kelp flakes, and dulse flakes on my salads.
I just ordered some Kelp Noodles, I just have to figure out how to prepare them. Any suggestions?

I didn't have any Chia Pudding prepared for my breakfast this morning and I was so sad
I REALLY love my chia pudding with bananas and Lucuma powder, if you haven't already noticed HA!!

I cut up two really ripe bananas and dipped them in Lucuma Powder ;)
    2 Oranges, Raisins
BIG Salad with avocado, Pecans, Raw Ranch, Sea Flakes
    Guacamole with carrot sticks
Rawtella (I am loving this stuff way too much!!!)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Hello all you wonderful raw people!

Yesterday for breakfast I had pineapple juice, carrot juice, and lettuce and orange juice

For lunch I had cabbage and carrot salad, with some mung bean sprouts, and a banana and vanilla smoothie with some alfalfa powder.

For dinner 2 raw chocolate bars, 3 bananas, some walnuts, and I really wanted some cucumber noodles, but I still don't have a spiralizer so I just shredded a cucumber and made a cheesy sauce for it, and it was reeeeally good!
For the sauce I blended pine nuts with some water, garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil, a tiny bit of tamari and nutritional yeast. It was so tasty I couldn't believe it. I'm going to buy more pine nuts today and more cucumbers.
Unfortunately I got an email from amazon that my order got cancelled because they don't have the spiralizer that I ordered. I was so sad . Now I have to look for it somewhere else. I really have to have it!!!

Today I had some sliced pineapple for breakfast, a carrot juice, a smoothie with raspberries bananas and celery, and some walnuts.
For lunch I had a banana, carob powder and almond milk smoothie. I'm still hungry and looking for something else.
Hubby is bringing home cauliflower tonight, so for dinner I'll have some cauliflower risoto and green salad probably.

I'm finding it really difficult these last couple of days to stay raw. I keep having cravings, and I feel frustrated. I don't want to give up though. I ordered some raw crackers and kale chips, hoping they will help. I hope they get here soon. (I really have to get myself a dehydrator, it's my next goal after the spiralizer).

    Sorry for the long post...

Lucy, check out the qvc website -- I got my AMAZING spiralizer there for only $27 including shipping! I've literally seen the same exact model at almost double the price.

I got my dehydrator there, too, because they sent me a coupon that let me break it into 5 payments! So I got this awesome 10 tray Weston that I LOVE...... I believe it's the same company that makes the Good4U and the VeggieKiln.

Speaking of dehydrators, today I'm putting up more eggplant jerky! Just bought TWO huge eggplants..... oh yes!!!!!

    Yesterday I had:

One quart orange/grapefruit juice for breakfast
One quart green smoothie with kale, bananas and apple for lunch
One quart Mean Green lemonade and a bowl of creamy parsnip rice for dinnner

LOTS of snacking on flax crackers, coconut meat and eggplant jerky..... it's a snowy snowy week and my son and I both have colds, so I'm just snacking and drinking my meals for now!

    Rawk on peoples!!!
