Yesterday I arrived home to find the most delicious soup prepared for me by my husband. It was two cups of sweet potato, 2 cups of water, 1 apple, 1 avocado, and a little salt, thrown into the blender. It was delicious! I'm eating 4 clementines right now, washed down with a bit of raw apple juice that has been flavored with cinnamon, cloves and allspice. My intention is to lose 20 pounds this month.

Day 1 was 100% raw. Yummy date/banana/green smoothie for breakfast. Lunch was an avocado/red pepper/carrot lettuce wrap (also yummy). Dinner was going to be tough. It was the last day all the kids were home from around the country. We went to Sweet Tomatoes and the salad bar was fine for me while the rest of the family had all the other extras. I snacked on dehydrated kale and zucchini chips. It was a good day and I am ready to tackle today and the rest of the month.

    Good luck everyone!!

Default Day 1 was great, now onto day 2

Day 1 was a success. I had a headache most of the day, but drinking more water seemed to help. Everything was raw, except for the nuts and I'm not sure about the olive oil. I think someone here said before that as long as it is first cold press then it is fine. Is that right? Where do you find truly raw nuts?
Day 2 is going well so far. I started the day with a green smoothie, then had leftover massaged kale salad from yesterday. I was so impressed with the kale salad, even my husband said he could eat things like that. It is basically just kale that has been massaged with salt and lemon juice with shredded carrots, almond slices, golden raisins, and a dressing made with blended avocado, celery, and olive oil. It was truly delicious! I'm really loving raw!

Hey Everyone! It's been a while since I've been over here to RFT, but it doesn't mean I lost my way!! well... a little! But I've come back, I've missed all the great info and people here, and since I've gone back to raw vegan and I'm sharing it on my blog I though being here with you all and the great support would be super helpful! Here is a link to my day so far HERE, tonight I'll probably whip up a smoothie and do some crocheting, it keeps my mind and fingers busy! away from mindless munching!

Thanks all for the sweet comments! :-) Today I had a banana & a clementine for breakfast again, and for lunch I made collard reuben wraps. Super easy.. basically just use a collard green as your wrap and fill it with sauerkraut, marinated mushrooms (I marinated mine in a touch of nama shoyu & lemon juice for about an hour), and drizzle a few drops of thousand island dressing (tomatoes, celery, sweet peppers, and a few cashews all blended together). No telling what we'll do for dinner.. likely a big green salad. Here's a pic of our lunch though!

    Default Day 1

I started today with a liter of oranges not squeezed but juiced. It was so creamy. I drank water too but did not juice again because I was not feeling hungry. So, I just listened to my body. I have a slight headache but feeling fine.

I'm here too... Its been really good actually.. I feel my body was so ready for raw, healthy foods and juices.

I've been drinking lots of juices through out the days. I've made green lemonade, grapefruit/orange/apple/cucumber/bellpepper/ginger, and carrot/celery. I also have a big green smoothie everyday. I try to alternater between spinach and kale. I add in some maca powder and bee pollen.
I have also made my first ever cultured nut cheese. I used cashews and then added in some dill and garlic.. Oh my!!! It is delicious!! I also made a raw pizza last night and raw soup tonight.

I think thats about it for now.... As you can probably tell.. I love to eat and raw is the best!!!

Yum -- thanks, I've got all the ingredients on hand so I'm trying this today!

GREAT day #1 yesterday! I ate:

    pears
    guacamole and flax crackers
massaged kale salad w bean sprouts, grated carrots and beets
smoothie of collards, sprouts, celery, mango, bananas
smoothie made with cashews, bananas, vanilla extract and pumpkin pie spice (I was craving egg nog!!)

Today I've got a dehydrator full of veggie burgers and onion bread...... I'll probably end up eating all of it today, but OH WELL! Hahahahaha it's all good.

Feeling like I'm getting a cold so I plan on lots of fresh orange/grapefruit juice today, to wash down all that onion bread!

    day two for me today

    yesterday I ate

    two handfuls of grapes
    banana, blueberry and spinach smoothie
handful of walnuts (yummy local ones with red skins!)
small salad of avo, cuke, tom, lettuce and pumpkin seeds

I'm currently down with a horrible chesty cold, and don't have much of an appetite, which in a way is kind of good as there is still a lot of holiday food around the house which would porbably be a temptation, otherwise

breakfast today has been 2 clementines and a big apple

Day 1 for me. Im starting with a fast and will see where it goes. Myweight today was 156.4 lbs. Hoping the juice fast will clear my foggy head. I also need some good sleep so thats another reason I chose to start with a juice fast. I can't wait to see where this month takes us.
