Jan 2012 - 30 day raw food challenge JOIN ANYTIME OF THE MONTH

Welcome to the 30 day challenge and welcome to our new monthly format.
This is our monthly challenge thread. We are choosing to do one (or perhaps split into two) continual threads so we can create a community of support within this challenge. You can join this thread at any time during the month. Don't be shy... we love new posters!!! So if you want to join us... please do!
I welcome people who are already 100% raw to join in the conversation - supporting our challengers in their quest! 
This thread is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to 30 consecutive days of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
I will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month. If I forget... send me a quick email and remind me... I'll get the challenge thread online for you quickly.
The focus of the monthly challenge is on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, don't beat yourself up over it or dwell on it - but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going! This thread is about celebrating what you are eating that IS raw!
I welcome you all to share pics of your dishes, ask questions, share what you are consuming (as long as it's raw). We are here to listen to your emotional and physical challenges. So share share share!!! 
OH and the best part of this (not only the support but...) you can subscribe to this thread and get notified every time someone posts to it. This way you will be connected!
So let's get this party started!!!

Apples carrots and melons plus raw olives and almonds are in stock. Need to do some more shopping but I can survive on what is here for the time being.

So far so good! Actually on about 11 days 100% raw.. feeling good!
Today I had banana and strawberries for breakfast and then a simple lettuce/spinach salad, yum!

Hi from Australia!
Day 4 for me today, and at last my detox headache left!
Today went well, no temptations at all!
This morning I made a big batch of nectarine, mango and lettuce smoothie, and have been
having that all day, with 2 handfuls of almonds in total, when I felt a bit hungry.
Tonight's dinner is a bowl of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, snowpea sprout salad with chickpeas and an avo dressing, yum!

Started yesterday, alternating my days between juice fasting water fasting and rainbow green. Really buckling down on candida on this one. I water fasted 24 hours and then had an avocado. Will probably green juice fast today but i'll go according to my choices so that's not for sure.Haven't had any detox yet! Happy New Years day everybody

Ready to Commit to RAW!
I will join the challenge. After eating SAD over the holidays and binging again last night, I am ready for a change. I want to look and feel better than ever! My sister-in-law is getting married in May of this year, and I want to look good and have lots of energy for the event. This morning I had a banana and an apple. I bought a huge bag of kale greens for 79 cents, so I will have massaged kale salad for lunch. I know it won't be easy, but I'm sure the results will be worth it. I can't wait to post a picture of my before and after. Thanks everyone for your support. Having this community sure makes it easier!

I too had a very non-raw time the past two weeks. I also had massaged kale salad for lunch. I added some of my very special present to myself - some Throuba Olives from therawgreek. They are so good.
I have also had bananas - suddenly had a yen for them - and watercress and tomatoes and carrot and courgette in with the kale and a small avo and some shelled hemp and some raw apricots and probably some other raw stuff but I can't recall it all.

I am in. I am starting tomorrow and intend to go 98% to 100% Raw for 30 days is January. YAY!!!!!!!!! So thankful for this community and the support.

I've been transitioning for a couple weeks with the intention of being 100% raw beginning today. I'm really hoping to find out if this can help with some health issues. So far, so good. Had a great smoothie for breakfast and pasta with marinara sauce planned for lunch.

Happy new year! I've been away for too long. Been eating terribly all month. I am really excited about the new year!! I have lots of changes in mind, not just the way I eat. I'm not going to say I didn't pig out over xmas but meat doesn't really hold the same appeal for me. I was in the meat dpmt the other day and I just turned around and left. It all looks so gross. I got a 3 tray sprouter for christmas so I will be starting a bunch of sprouts tonight. I've been sick for a whole week and I'm a little worried that changing my diet while I'm sick might prolong it, but what the heck. It's for the best. I'm about 20 lbs over weight and plagued with very mild but persistent acne. Also, my 24 year old face seems a lot older to me. I'm off to the store to get some salad fixings and some beets and I will have juice and salad for dinner. My bf is making a big pasta but at least he'll be having the salad along with me. I'm not going to try to get him to do this with me but I will be feeding him lotsa good stuff. Luckily he actually likes green smoothies, juices, salads etc... Anyways, hope everyone is having a great day!

But I did commit to joining this group for the month, so I'll at least see that out and then make my decision. Today was a success. Had a clementine and a banana for breakfast and a big green salad for lunch. For dinner, I made corn stuffed anaheim peppers (with a side of guacamole and pico de gallo). The corn stuffing is corn, zucchini, sweet peppers, jalapeno, cilantro and a few spices. Here's a pic:
