Default Anyone have this problem with their Omega 8004?

    Hi,

So I bought this Omega 8004 a few days ago from Amazon. I like it a lot so far, but their is just 1 problem. I can't help but notice some parts of it are really loose. And when I juiced some harder items like carrots, beets, frozen banana and coconut, the machine seemed to struggle. What I mean is, I could see the parts really working hard and moving around and making noises. My auger is really loose/flimsy. I was watching videos on youtube and did not notice this problem with others' Omega 8004 and one guys seemed to making a locking sound when he put it in. Mine does not do that.

Anyway I made a short video tring to explain the problem. Let me know if this is normal or if this is something wrong.

i don't juice frozen fruits or veggies because its hard on the machine. It looked like you could turn that auger into place...? I dunno, personally I'd probably take it back and see if another one has the same issues.

i think you have to push that auger in with some force to get it beyond the pressure sleeve which it locks tight in to .

at your link above look on right side and theres some john kohler vids with the omega and no doubt he'll assemble it in one of them

but ide bet you just have to push that auger in harder , though you might have to pivot it to a certain spot to get it to push in .
just look at sleeve before placing auger and see if theres any slots that the auger has to line up with

Thanks I will try that. I did try to put a little force but was afraid to push too hard in fear of damaging it. But I will follow your advice.

Ok I just did a reply and I don't know what happened to it. So if it shows up later then you know why I've got a double post.

I watched the video and everything you showed and also everything you explained is normal. I've had mine for nearly two years now and have used it probably 650 days of the last 700. And sometimes I use it more than once per day. It's all normal so go ahead and get juicy. ;-P

Can you all imagine the abundant world we would live in if we all planted the seeds of every plant we ate. You wouldn't be able to throw a stone without hitting a fruit tree or berry bush or some fruit/vegetable bearing plant. Imagine the bees that would thrive in such an environment. There is another piece that goes in over the auger with the strainer bit on it. Mine is grey plastic with a metal strainer piece. It goes in over the auger and does sound lick it locks it in place and then the white (on mine) end bit that 1/4 turns to hold ll in place. You don't show those pieces in the video so just checking if you are using them.

    LOL

Yeah, it's all normal. I can understand your concern though, cus you just bought a brand new juicer and you think you may have gotten the short end of the stick. But mine does the same thing. I actually had to order a new housing for mine cus the one that came with the juicer cracked. The first housing seemed to have more movement than the current housing I have now. But depending on what I'm juicing, the housing I have now may move very little or it may move a lot. If it concerns you quite a bit, call the company and tell em your concern and ask that they replace the housing for you.
