    Default SELF exercise tapes

Have any of you tried the exercise tapes that SELF magazine has put out? I've been considering buying one, but I am not sure if they're any good and which one I should buy.

Or are there any exercise tapes that ya'll just love and would recommend?

    Hi, mandabear, :)

I haven't tried SELF's tapes. I don't like tapes, but I have given them a chance and concluded, they are, in general, not for me.
However, as there is usually an exception, :), the only one I like and actually did/do is Cameron Shayne's BUDOKON.

As well, I hate floor exercises; but, again, the only ones I *can* do are THE FIVE TIBETAN RITES which I love and will do for life...best thing is, it takes only about 10 minutes ;D Wakes me up and gets me energized right before my runs or martial arts classes. "Rejuvenating" is the perfect word. I still find I'm improving and refining these exercises -- getting more and more out of them.

You can preview most of the videos and they tell you what equipment is needed. I have found them to be the best source for fitness videos & DVDs.

I vary what I do to keep it interesting:

1.) Louise Solomon's Yogalates - yoga and pilates mixed
    2.) Beginner's pilates - Gaiam
3.) Lotte Burke- "Muscle Eats Fat"
    4.) Cardio - Walk-Away-The-Pounds- Leslie Sansone

We also power walk, and I will again begin to run a bit when I feel my body can finally handle it.

I have an old TyBo... ( grin).. I've not been brave enough for that one yet.

I bought T Tap after a tread here recomended it. I got my Alaxander Technique Trainer to check it out to see if she thought it was good and she tought very highly of it.
I am sure that it will be a very good exercise program as soon as I get up off my lazy bum and use it.
