Default Your opinions on Omega VRT 350HD?

    Hi,

I sent a message to John Kohler and he recommended me this juicer based on what I told him I wanted to juice. He told me it is a great all-around juicer for juicing a little of everything. The price is kinda high, little more than what I want to pay but if I feel like it is the right one I would get it. My main thing with juicers is I want to be able to juice soft fruits/veggies and have them not turn into baby food. I wanted to get the Omega 8006 but heard it would turn soft fruit into baby food, unless I had the screen over it and still it would have a good amount of fiber in it. Anyway, anyone own an Omega VRT 350HD? If you don't, I'd like to hear your opinion anyway.

Basically I wanna juice things like; like leafy greens, cucumber, parsley, cilantro, carrots, ginger, beets, all citrus, some berries, apples, pears, mango, melons, pineapple, tomatoes, coconut etc.

I have a Hurom, which is just like the VRT (both are made by the same company).

I use it to make green juice for myself, and apple/pear/ginger juice for my husband. I've made carrot/apple/beet/ginger juice with it as well. I have not tried using soft fruits and veggies, nor have I tried citrus (except for adding some lemon or lime to my green juice). The juices I have made with it are delicious. I will say that the Hurom did not seem to do a great job with baby spinach, but it juices more robust greens quite well, which are the ones I prefer anyway (kale, collards, bok choy, chard, and herbs like cilantro and parsley). The juice does have a small bit of fiber in it, even with the fine screen (it comes with a coarse screen and a fine screen). This does not bother me, as I don't require juice that is 100% free of fiber. Cleaning the screen thoroughly each and every time you juice is a must, so that the little holes don't get clogged.

What made me buy this blender is its small footprint, the fact that it can juice leafy greens, and its ease of assembly/reassembly. My kitchen is very small and I needed a juicer that didn't take up a lot of what little counter space we have. Because the Hurom is easy to take apart and put back together, I am actually using it. I make juice at least 5 days a week.

I am quite happy with my purchase.

The omega vert 350HD is 80 RPM and the Huron or omega vert 330HD are 70RPM

    So the 350 is faster.

I have the 330HD, i love it. It is great for travel because it is compact. It is supposed to do all greens but i find that unless that you cut them, it isn't that great. I use my greenstar for everything except fruit and the omega for the fruit.

The omega 8000 series, can do nut butter and it ok with greens.

You need to determine what your needs are.

    All the best!

I have the vert and its amazing. It is my first juicer so I have nothing to compare it to but I am able to juice all that you listed there, and more. It does not make baby food, just amazing juice. It's quiet, doesn't take too much counter space, and easy to clean. Not much of a hassle which makes daily juicing possible. I am very happy with my choice and still wouldn't choose another juicer.

It juices greens good but stringy veggies/fruit take a little more time to clean out the fiber but the juice is excellent quality. Worth the high price in my opinion.

and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind:
and God saw that it was good.

I went with the Omega 8004 ( which is the 8006 but different color). Everywhere I looked the 8004/8006 got consistently good reviews. On the 350HD, BrevilleJEXl, and some of these other high end juicers the reviews/ratings were bumpy. Some were high and lots were low too. I like the Omega 8004 for its multifunction. And I feel it does a good job at what I will mainly be juicing.
