Default hibernating for the winter sounds so nice

I just realized with starting fasts in November and eating raw I've really slowed down in a way. I don't have many obligations during the winter, I work in spurts (4 days on/10 days off). It's getting cold outside and it feels right to stay inside where it's warm and wait the winter out. At first this concept sounded really bad to me but now I'm starting to think it might not be so bad since that is what animals do. It's too bad our modern society doesn't allow for us to hibernate. I wish I could. But I have to work to pay the bills of course and can't leave my car parked in the same spot all winter...I have a treadmill in my apartment so I can stay fit and I'll still be going to my dance classes.
I hope to have more energy once I'm more adjusted to this diet.
Anyone else notice they slow down during the winter?

I definitely feel slower. I would like to hibernate. I already sleep more than I would in the summer.

I am trying to fight it - but that's what it feels like, a fight. I am trying to eat consciously to battle the fatigue, as well as engage in physical activities.

So is it more difficult eating raw when it's cold out?
Have you been eating raw since August? Does the fatigue stay even when your body gets used to it?
You've lost a substantial amount of weight already!

It's not what most animals do. Make sure you are eating enough you should feel zingy on raw even in winter. Also, if you aren't going out much make sure you are getting enough daylight or you will slip into SAD and I don't mean cooked food..

Thanks for the info. I've been trying to up my intake of vegetables. I haven't made any green smoothies perhaps that would be a good thing to do? I haven't been able to acquire taste for vegetable juice yet. Could there be a deficiency that's making me not want to do anything? I've been thinking it's just my body telling me I need to finish fasting so I can finish healing the lymph node thing

Try not to over-think it ... just be.

As to juice you could try 3 apples, 4 medium carrots and a lemon - juiced. I juice the apples and carrots in the juicer and the lemon on my citrus press then mix together. When you are happy that you like this combo - add a stick of celery or a small beet. Experiment til you get a variety of combos you like. Add a handful of green leaves in at some point - see how it goes and don't rule anything out til you haven't ruled it in.

This year is definitely the best year I've had since I was maybe 10 years old. I'm not experiencing the same anxiety and depression that I used to have to deal with almost every day of my life, so that is making the transition into winter more bearable. I have been eating raw since August 14th - I made the transition overnight after a voice in a fever told me to. (Always listen to the voices!) I don't usually hear voices so it was very prophetic for me. I actually have a lot of physical energy that I never had before, but when it's cold and wet out, and dark, my body just wants to be warm and comfortable at home. Overall I would say that eating raw through the winter (even something close to 100% is great!) will be much better for me than NOT eating raw.

It's definitely easier to do raw in the summer .... I really want warm food lately, but I am doing my best to remind myself that my body benefits from raw food. I also drink green tea whenever I feel like having something warm.

I also drink tea when I want something warm. Green tea is one of my favorites, and it gives me energy. I also love Vanilla madagascar. It is a red tea with roobois which also is know for fatburning like green tea is. it has a very warm flavor and smells so good!

So you made a very fast transition to raw then!

Today I went out, got some fresh air and sunlight, and did a few errands. I feel a little better now but it was pretty cold out so I feel chilled now.

I often think it be cool to hiberate in winter. Perhaps we are more in love with wanting the warm cozy feeling in cold weather. I am wanting to be as active as I can outdoors this winter, walking the trails either snowshoes or cross country skis. Plus I want to help at my friends horse farm too.

It is easy to get almost lazy on green juice I read somewhere, so you gotta be careful. Our bodies are made to be very active in all kinds of weather.

I get really really cold in winter and am uncomfy in other environs where I cant turn up the heat or whatever.....that is my challenge.
