Default Will using a blender be pointless?

Hello everyone, I will be beginning an organic juice detox for approximately 10 days. My question is, well I currently do not own a juicer and only have a poor quality blender and a magic bullet as my two options. I'll be in need to juice the following : wheat grass, carrots, beets, cucumbers, baby spinach, gingers, apples, celery, tomatoes, and bell peppers. So if I were to use the only two options available (blender & magic bullet) would it drain out any of the nutritional purposes that they are suppose to offer (all the raw goodies mentioned)? as I am reading that, heat from certain blenders etc can actually damage the nutritional offerings of whatever you're attempting to juice. Feel free to correct me if I am wrongfully mistaken. I just wouldn't want to put myself through something that was consumed for nothing, while at the very same time, anxious to begin a lifestyle change beginning with this detox. Thank you in advance!

MJ, I think there is no point in waiting, just do it. Blend up your veggies with a bit of water and strain thru a nut milk bag or a paint strainer bag (thats what I use to do). I would just try to drink the juice right away. That's good juice.

I totally agree with garden granny! Chop the veggies up as finely as you can if your blender is complaining and just go for it.

You might want to check out your local thrift stores. This summer I bought a beautiful Samson juicer, looks like it was used maybe 2-3 times for $6. Amazing! Ask the store manager if they will hold a juicer for you if they get one in. You could watch Craigs List too -- or possibly post an ad saying that you're looking for a juicer and/or more powerful blender. Best wishes!

Thank you for the responses, my mother surprised me and purchased a juicer the following night so I was able to have it for the detox :)

Well that was so nice of your mom!! My mom got me a juicer for my birthday!! I was very excited!! Even though she doesn't totally understand me wanting to eat raw, at least she's supportive! It helps a lot.
