We are planning a rather beautiful Solstice celebration and I am hoping bf will get back to raw after that.

Hello friends - I'm still going strong - 4 days now. Going back to work tomorrow hoping to continue through the weekend, but open to whatever seems right. I've been using my rebounder multiple times a day, and also the X-iser that I have loved for many years. Didn't oil pull this time, didn't feel the process I guess. I still think it's a good idea though. I just feel too good to stop right now, and it feels like a good idea to get a longer fast in before it gets really wintry.

i always want there to be a study on the healing affects of a long term very rich raw plant liquid diet which includes anything plant n raw including nut n seed milks . as to me keeping the g.i. tract void of solids on a near constant basis for weeks at a time every month is allowing pollution deposits body wide to gradually be broke down then washed out . while all along the rich nutricious raw liquid fuel is providing one the energy to function as vigorously as ever
i bring that up now because with late fall hitting here in michigan cold days are upon us and on my fasts i shall be using nut or seed milk based smoothies with fruit , mostly bananas to keep the strength / warmth to function all out when i get feeling iffy . after making the milk then blending in the fruit i strain it thru a fine metal mesh kitchen strainer . then that mixture i strain thru a big 5 gallon paint filter bag which i drape over a huge stainless steel soup kettle pot making it easy / non mesyy process because pot catches every thing . i then place a big stainless colander over pot into which i place the paint bag full of all the slush from smoothie . i then press that bag with a manual potato masher to extract all liquids . so i get a near pulp free and very rich raw plant drink which gives me strength to work all day but keeps tract empty of solids . i believe this mode with times of eating solids - times of juice / water fasting as a yearly schedule to be healthiest . aiming for say half the days per year eating solids , the other days a mix of the two liquid diet forms . a person gets into that mode long term they are going to THRIVE imo . a rough draft formula : 180 days on solids - 130 days on juices - 50 days rich raw liquids , but aiming for more days on juice / water fasts
anyway im starting orange juice fast at 6 for at least 48
now we await your report snowshoe , did you wreck your rig or are you still trucking (hauling a load of toxic waste outta body)

6pm is almost here now in the UK. I ate at about 3:30pm. Planning water again for my fast until 7am Tuesday. All aboard!

I'm still here on day 8. I took a chance that I could get through the work days intact. Friday I had a flareup with a co-worker who pushed my buttons and I kinda snapped back. I apologized later and explained the circumstances. I think (hope) she was cool with it. Oh, and on the drive home in the rain, someone sideswiped my car and then kept going. Luckily it was the same spot where a smaller ding was, so no damage. That was one day that I was glad to be over!
I planned on staying inside and safe this weekend but now the sun is out which is rare these days. I might go to see an Indian music concert. Or stay in bed...

It was a sitar concert in a beautiful church in downtown Portland. Fantastic event! I felt pretty lousy all day, and was questioning why I was prolonging my fast. The show picked up my spirits, and I bought a few quarts of OJ on the way home and drank a bottled mango smoothie. Home at last! I have no obligations for the next 2 days, so it looks like I will make 10 days after all. Sometimes I really dread getting back on the food roller coaster, but it does have it's pleasurable aspects.

Here it is Day 10, and I feel pretty pleased. For the first time, I did not weigh myself before starting, obsessively during, or now at the conclusion. That scale number can have too much effect on my psyche. Definitely some fat/toxins released - I feel much more relaxed and comfortable in my body right now. I still have room for improvement but this was a good one.
Right now I am soaking flax seeds for a batch of crackers for the work week. This batch will be cinnamon/coconut/cayenne. I need to go shopping for fresh veggies & fruit. Fast ends 6PM PST, and I will probably treat myself to a salad bar for dinner.
Thanks for your support and see you all soon!
