Default I just made my first anti-aging green smoothie but if I have to drink this every

morning I may not age but I sure as hell will die early. It was NASTY.

The lemon and line just over powered the drink; does everyone use lemon and lime in their green smoothies? This was a Dr Oz drink that I got from the web.

    2 cups spinach
    2 cups cucumber
    1 head of celery
1/2 inch or teaspoon ginger root
    1 bunch parsley
    2 apples
    Juice of 1 lime
    Juice of 1/2 lemon

Uh, no. I don't think I ever have. My book is below. I don't recall any of the recipes using lemon or lime. Well, hmmm... maybe the veggie one.

I usually use a few bananas, a handful of strawberries, couple handfuls of spinach and as much carrot juice I need for the right texture. I haven't been able to stomach a strictly green smoothie yet!

Cut it back to 1/2 lemon maybe and add a bit as you get used to it. That does seem like a lot. I do put a bit of lemon in mine but not 1/2 lemon and WHOLE lime:O

The first time I added lemon to my husband's green smoothie - it was the last green smoothie he had - true. *Ü*

    Agreed.

But I do like a little lemon in my juices and smoothies.

Did you blend that or juice it? I vaguely recall watching a Dr. Oz video where he juiced those ingredients. Since you're calling it a smoothie and not a juice, I'm just checking. I can imagine that would taste awful blended but refreshing juiced.

That makes a delicous juice. Its my favorite. Try juicing it instead. Its like green lemonade.
