Hi everyone. This is awesome, having so much feedback on raw eating.

Runraw, have you tried to add raw sweeteners to vegs. or your raw recipes. Some raw honey or packaged Stevia/Purvia/ SweetLeaf natural sweeteners can go a long way. Also some people use Agave Nectar. I know this all sounds foreign, but please keep trying different things. Our parents didn't just feed us from infancy. It was a gradual transition. You will find your tastebuds like things that you didn't even know existed. Stevia is sold in little packages in all stores just about. You use it just like you would Splenda or real sugar. It is from the leaves of the Stevia plant and is all raw and natural. You can actually buy the plant and use the leaves right off the plant, like you would Basil or Parsley.
Raw honey has become my favorite right now. I got it from the local farm market guy who has a bee hive farm he hires each year. So sweet from the jar.....I add it to my vegetable smoothies and top it on my salads and apples with cinnamon. Yummo!!
But as far as not feeling good from vegetables.....perhaps just some detoxing or digestion problems going on then. Try a variety as the weeks go on. You might like eggplant today and squash tomorrow. Then hate it next week, and like only cucumbers.
Good luck on this wonderful, fascinating journey everyone!
    Peace, Bonnie

also i'm hating all these recipies i try! (they taste soooo bad :/...) im just eating everythign whole now and hardly even having smoothies
I know what you mean! More of my recipes turn out bad, than they do good...but I am going to keep trying because I cant let myself get discouraged so soon. I think it just takes lots of practice for some of us. Don't give up! I bet you'll become your own little chef with persistence.

I have been doing well the last couple days. Havent felt a headache in days, and not feeling sick anymore. Some days my body just feels weaker, and in those cases I certainly try to find time to rest because I know I am still detoxing to some degree (I am just thrilled it has slowed down). My skin is starting to break out, small little bumps, but my face is stiarting to get the glow even underneath the breakouts. yay!!! my eyes are clearer than they were before.

I've been sticking to mostly juices in the morning, smoothies midday, and some sort of soup or another smoothie or large salad for dinner.

    Today my menu is:

breakfast- juice (apple, orange, carrot, pomegranate seeds)
lunch- green smoothie (banana, wild blueberries, apple, kale, alfalfa spouts)
dinner- will be veggie gazpacho(haven't decided on a recipe) and probably a giant salad with some more sprouts

I am totally into sprouting now and after a few successful sproutings I have a new found hobby.
I'm currently trying some mung bean sprouts.

and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind:
and God saw that it was good.

    Hey all,

You GO Raw Angel! I'm loving this lifestyle right now. Taking a break right now from doing Sunday chores to drink a nice huge blueberry, banana and nut milk smoothie, YUMMO! I made some "cheesy" kale chips and regular kale chips. I think I'm also going to make some zuc pasta and marinate some veggies to go on top. The only thing about zuchs as pasta is they get water logged, but it's still delish! Hmmmm, I broke and bought raw cacao and remade my "choc mousse", replacing carob with the cacao and man it's delish too! I wonder what else I can make in preparation for the coming week??? Hmmm.....

    Have a great day Rawstars!

Day, uhhhm, I have no idea.... 13??
I had a huge cave 2 days ago and I just shoved myself full of cooked food, but I jumped back on it the following day.
I'm feeling extremely weak today, very bad body odour... That's about it! Hope I feel better tomorrow, going out to pick up some pumpkin seeds and fresh produce to make a lovely 'caesar' salad.

I am so proud of everyone here!!! Even eating astray can't keep you down!! This is not a diet, but a transition into a healthy way of life. It will take years to learn as much as we know about cooked food, to learn about raw/living foods. Just glad that we understand that and don't beat ourselves up.
For two years, it was one step forward, 2 steps back. Then 2 steps forward, one step back. Now it is more like 10 steps forward, one step back. What a huge improvement. I can say I am 99.9 % raw now. I don't like the feeling if I eat something not raw/living. I get tired and often I get a belly-ache. Love the feeling of eating this new way. It's adventurous when out in public.......what can I find today? Perhaps a new fruit. Or something I read here....and then I go to a healthy store, and voila!!! There it is!
When I smell cooked food, I tell myself that is the smell of 'pain'. I am trying to alleviate arthritic and fibromyalgic pain by eating raw foods. It's really working.
Again, you are all my inspirations and motivators! Keep it up, you RAWK!!!

    Peace, Bonnie (who loves blueberries)

Runraw, awesome accomplishment not taking that meat too seriously. :) It is even more empowering to pick yourself up after a little blip than to go all the while without one!

Bonzer, your post is inspiring in itself. Arthritis and fibromyalgia, it makes me SOOO happy to hear people with such pain turn in such a positive direction. You're doing so great!! Step by step by step, so that we appreciate every single one :3

Some days, detox feels amazing... When you feel feverish and hot, and your body is weak, and you're tired with a slight headache, but somehow you're more centered and focused, and you can take a step back because your body is learning. Plus lying in bed feels AMAZING! Like never before. It feels almost like a spiritual experience to sit in bed in the evening with the lights off and a scented candle, and go to bed extra early... Good night !

Anybody experiencing insomnia on this trial? I end up being very sleepy very early, and I fall asleep, but if something loud wakes me up just minutes after falling asleep (which happens often when living with a night owl family in a small house) I can't get back to bed because I feel like I have all this energy. I've been going to bed at 9AM! And sleeping 3 hours until 1PM... It's 1 AM, I'm sleepy and I need to go for a run! I did not have this before.

Maybe I need to be less sedentary?

I'm new to the site and loving all of the awesome support! I'm on day 13(ish) of 100% raw and I'm loving it! I've been eating mostly fruits and vegetables and drinking lots of green smoothies but I just got my dehydrator trays and nut milk bags in the mail so I've just made some coconut milk and flax cracker dough (which smells amazing btw) and cannot wait to get it dehydrating so I can eat them! Its been tough for me without bread and pasta, being not only italian, but having been raised rather traditionally italian, i'm having a tough time. hopefuly this discovery of flax crackers will help but I'd love any suggestions that anyone might have!

Thank you so much Shel that really made my day! ^-^ Today is my 3rd day *-* I'm so happy, I won't give up. Yesterday I had the same as the day before so today I will go shopping for fresh fruit and vegetables. I'm keeping this simple since I did not like most of the raw recipes i have done before. I just love, love how i'm feeling already.

    Hi everyone!

October is not going very well for me and I'm feeling very sad. I'm not sure why. Septeber was awesome, but this month I just keep having cravings and I give in. So basically I have a non raw day every 3-4 days
It's really depressing. I've been vegan for quite a while before trying going raw, so I know I can be strong and not give in to cravings, but this seems really difficult some times. I'm so ashamed to say I ate potato chips yesterday, which I haven't had in a reeeeally long time. What's the deal with these cravings???
Anyone else going through this? Does it get better? I imagine it does, but I need some encouragement and advice from people who have gone through this. Should I give in to cravings once in a while, or should I try to be stronger and stay raw until the cravings go away?

Congrats to all of you for staying raw
