Default What to eat while breastfeeding

Not for me but my daughter! My grandson is one month old:)

BTW, I did do a search and wrote down a few ideas but most were for what to feed children eating solids.

My daughter has a list of foods she should NOT eat while breastfeeding and is it long.

She's not into raw but is getting frustrated and not eating well. I suggested green smoothies but need some suggestions on what you guys make.

Nuts are out because she doesn't like any nuts but she is drinking Almond Milk (I think it's silk brand).

My green smoothies have a base of pink grapefruit, lime, strawberries and blueberries but her list states not to eat berries or citrus.

I was thinking she could do a mix of kale, cilantro, celery, pineapple (is this to acidic??), ground golden flax seed, and cucumber. Maybe kiwi too?

I'm going to make her the "staple" kale/avocado salad (minus the chopped tomato) and see if she likes it. Would it be okay to add a squeeze of lemon even though she is not supposed to have citrus?

Also, someone on here mentioned coconut milk - is this bought in a store raw?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

people drill hole in the young thia cocnuts and pour the milk out

make own almond mylk at home in any cheap blender , way healthier with no preservatives - way cheaper

can use sun flower seeds / pumpkin seeds - sesame seeds to make seed mylks too , add fruit to mylks for sweet tasting smoothies

ide make tomato juice with garlic and fresh parsley for vita c - vita a from parsley - anti germ from garlic

bananas 24 / 7 , go great in almond mylk smoothie

people make smoothies with avacado / cocoa / and i think almond mylk and rave about them . the cocoa taste takes over the mixture

im finding good brocoli on market today and for its calcium if can find good suply ide soak / dry a bunch of it cut up into flowerettes
and bring it to her to eat raw vegi platter style . and people make a raw ranch dip outta almond mylk / garlic / herbs etc

She cans eat everything really, as long it is ok for her body (some people has allergies). Almond increase the milk, e3live, spirulina (b12), as much greens she cans and fruits.

I wouldn't be careful with raw cacao (any caffeine).

The more she makes room for fresh raw vegan food, the more her baby will be calm.

Cilantro is great, if she has mercury it will neutralize it and prevent that it is pass on to the baby.

She cans have honey, sprout and anything really that is raw vegan.

Young coconut are delicious and very rich too. Many health food store has them or Asian market and this is raw, if you buy coconut milk, it isn't raw anymore (the need to at least pasteurize it to preserve).

    All the best

p.s She should make sure to get her dose of vitamin D outside everyday

she can drink some teas that help increase milk supply.. like those mother's milk teas... they have fenugreek, blessed thistle & stuff like that in them. you can buy tinctures of those.. liquid extracts are always preferable to pills.. as the liquid is more easily absorbed by the body than pills.

what is on the list that she CANNOT eat?... that would help out a great deal...

you also didn't say why she couldn't eat all these foods...

what kind of stuff does she normally like to eat?

green smoothies would be good.. if she can't eat berries or citrus, add tropical fruits.. mango, pineapple.. i think kiwis would be great, too!..

in regards to her not liking things... sometimes being a mom means that you just have to suck it up and eat what is good for your baby & not be so self centered. without proper nutrition, she's just hurting her baby.. so maybe if she realized that, she'd open up a little more on what she's willing to eat.

I don't know if she would enjoy them, but fenugreek sprouts also increase breast milk, and are extremely nutritious. I think that they probably increase the nutrition of the milk too. On that topic, get her to consume as many greens as possible, and preferably some green sprouts too (it would have been far better to do all of this before she had the baby.

    e3live, spirulina (b12)
It turns out that spirulina doesn't have human active b12, but it would be great if you could get her to take both of these, because spirulina is the second highest source of gamma linolenic acid in the world (after mother's milk...hmmm), which is essential for developing baby's brains (the reason mother's milk is the highest source in the world). E3 live (which is actually the algae AFA, or Aphanizomen Flos-Aquae) is the best source of omega-3 oils in the world.
