    Default Homemade Soy Milk

    Hello,

I know soy milk isn't the best and I will start making almond milk once I run out of Soy beans. I also understand you can not have raw soy beans due to the toxins and enzyme inhibitors. I know you need to heat or cook the beans to remove them...

I have soaked the soy beans over night.

    So do I....

    1) cook the beans next then blend?

    or

    2) do I blend them with water and then heat the milk?

Also how long do I cook / heat??

    Thanks Heaps...

I am adamantly against eating soy ... but here is a link about how to make homemade soy milk.

Check out my blog (other than the one on here). I am just getting started, but I promise that it will get better as time goes on!

I think that was nice of Maggiesdaddy to give you the link even though, he doesn't believe in it!

I'm not adamantly against eating soy, but we only eat it on occasion. I make soymilk in my Soyabella --a soymilk maker. Then I use the leftover "meat" for other stuff.

I originally got the Soyabella because it'll also do raw nutmilks...but it's easier to do them in the Vita-Mix. This was before I owned a Vita-Mix though.

And yes, it goes through a whole process of heating/cooking etc. and I do soak the soybeans before making it.
