Default 4 months left till Trevor is here !!!!

hi im cassie ... im will be 25 weeks pregnant this next monday , sep19th . i was mostly raw before i found out i was pregnant and was doing a heavy exerise routine to help tone up and lose weight . when i found out i was pregnant i wanted to find a midwife to do a home water birth , but hubby was against the home birth . he was ok with a nurse midwife . i went with this and sadly im not happy with her . she acts more like a doctor then some of the doctors ive seen . i told her about my diet and what i wanted . she seemed ok with it at first , but when she had an ultersound done she said the baby was a bit small and told me i needed to gain more weight and increase my protein intake . this scared me and i fell back to a vegan diet . i gain a lot of weight from this and it made me sick everytime i turned around . she also told me that she was going to test me for diabites b/c of the quick weight gain . she also said that i was too heavy for my frame .
my hubby just left recenttly for his second deployment and this kick started my motivation to adopt what my friend would call the " screw it attitude " . i went to the store right after dropping him off for his flight and picked up fresh fruit and plenty of things to juice till pay day . he left on the 13th . so that makes me raw for four days !!! ive already noticed a big difference , my baby loves the daily juices and is more active then before ! ive also stopped taking the prenatals which were making me sick and i have more energy and i havent thrown up once scince i went back to raw . my horrible gas problems have all but disappeared !!! and i have had a hemeroid from my daughter's birth (she is three now ) it is no longer bothering me , hoping that with some fresh beet juice it might just disappear ?! im so excited to be back and hope to be able to stick with it when hubby comes back . he will never go raw and always wants his chicken . im fine with that i just hope it doesnt make it hard for me to stay raw . oh scince i went back to raw , my daughter sorta joined me !!!! she was having problems with eating ( she just wouldnt ) ... she now eats everything i set in front of her and if i give her a choice between a raw item and a nonraw item , she has been choosing the raw item !!! her attitude problem has all but disappeared and she is much more alert and active . she behaves better too . all this from four days of raw . mind u , not every one of her meals has been raw (daddy would kill me . he doesnt think that a raw diet is suited for children ) . no more cows milk for her . i make her drink my homemade almond milk . and she loves the raw hot chocolate i make !!!
well this is my story and im so happy to be raw once again . it is the best thing for me and i know it . just keep me in yalls prayers that i stay raw this time !!!

That is wonderful? Are you going to keep the same midwife? Do you think she will support the changes you made?

You and your baby have a right to change midwives it is your birth and serves no one well if you don't feel good about being in her care.
Some midwives do act like MEDwives and if that is not the expereince you want then only you can creat the experience you desire. Choose your birth crew. Selecting your babaes "welcoming committee for new life" should be a very INTENTION aspect of your birth experience, really!

Congrats on you reRAW efforts and feeling great. If you ever deisre a prental again NEW CHAPTER has one that everyone In know tolerates well.

It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.

Your mid-wife sounds out of her depth. See if you can find another; one who understands the difference between protein and amino acids!
