Hey, everyone, I am back from camping, and a retreat and birthday and am ready to kick it back in high gear! I have been battling craving and the bank account is low and the fridge is rattlin'. Have to get creative. TTYL.

Welcome home katchmoleen. Glad you are back. Creative...are apples in season for you there? They can be quite cheap, tasty and oh so versatile.

I ate lots of fresh fruit today. Only about 10 almonds. And tonight I had a fruit smoothie..yum

    Peace, Bonnie (who loves blueberries)

trying a new breakfast meal. I usually have fruit but fancied a change. So this is it.

almond milk with the chunks of nut left in it and some cardamom seeds for flavour
added some chia seed and left it overnight
chopped a date on the top.

It's a sort of stiff ready-brek consistancy and obviously it's cold not hot.

It tastes good. Will be interested to see how it sits in the stomach.

    That sounds tasty, Georgina.

My DH kindly bought me a basic dehydrator, so overnight I have made some 'Cheezy Itz' from a recipe I found online, and they have turned out really well - well, to look at, anyway. Looking forward to trying one at dinner. They're made from nuts and seeds, a tomato, red bell pepper and seasoning, so I'm really curious about how they're going to taste. Smelled wonderful while cooking, and the dogs loved the broken bits they hoovered up this morning :-)

Hi, all, I am really low on food in the house and won't have any money till tomorrow so it has been a tough couple of days.
    B: Some dates
L: zucchini pasta with peppers and avocado (my last one!) and sunflower seeds, with a touch of olive oil. It was tasty! But not real filling.
    Snack: never mind
Supper: ear of raw corn from our garden. O MY so good. I need more food than that though and it is scrounge time. I think I will have an apple with some almond butter.

horrid when both money and food run out

bf left me £25.00 when he went off to the nether regions of the country to work so what was looking to be a slim week has actually been ok ... wish I could send you some food.

They were really great! My DH, who is a dedicated omnivore and views raw eating with interest but no inclination to adopt it, commented on how they smelled so cheesy, and he really enjoyed them. I had a couple with dinner last night and they were lovely - slightly chewy, savoury and quite filling. I spread some hummus on them and they went really well together.

I'm quite tempted now to make some onion bread, but I've decided to finish these up first! So I'm going to have a go at making kale chips tonight ... I'm intrigued by the idea of them, and the dehydrator is calling to me :-)

Things are groovin' along here nicely. I did a short one day dry fast - just to change things up a bit. Felt good to fast again. But I'm back to watermelon eating again mmmm watermelon!

Hello everyone!! I haven't had internet access for a while.
My daughter started school on Monday, and she's been asking for for her favourite dishes to take with her, which happen to be my favourite dishes, so needless to say, it was really tough to stay on the wagon :)
    But I did it! YAY!!

Katchmoleen, that's tough! Hang in there! ((()))

Still hanging on in there - can hardly believe that today is day 29 raw!

Last night I had such a funny dream - I dreamed that it was gone 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and that I was hungry. I knew I'd had a smoothie for lunch, but just decided to cook and eat two veggie burgers with cheese!!! And even in the dream, I was saying to myself 'you know you had your lovely smoothie for lunch, you weren't hungry, so why on earth did you do it?' - and just saying to myself - 'I forgot! I just forgot!' I was most relieved to wake up and find out it was a dream :-)
