My first time juicing!
My first juicer will be delivered today! What should I juice?
-
what do you have in the house in the way of fruits and veggies?
A nice easy, tasty one is apple, carrot, celery and a small amount of beetroot.
-
I am going to the grocery store today, so anything is possible to juice!
-
keep the number of ingredients small otherwise it can get a bit confused. I love cucumber in chunks and slices but hate it juiced. Be ready for some surprises.
Check out the juice thread in the fasting section because there are lots and lots of tried and tested recipes there.

This morning, I made a juice of 2 medium carrots, one small apple, a few stalks of celery, and 1/4 head of red cabbage. I was pleased with the results. Cabbage juice is very healthy but the taste can send a shiver down the spine if it's drank straight.

I just got my juicer yesterday too. I made apple, ginger, carrot juice. It was very good. Im going to try cucumber and watermellon later. I heard it is good as well. I think jucing is a trial and error thing. You have to mess with the amounts of the fruit or veggie to suit your own taste.

thank you all! I got my juicer, went to the store got a ton of yummy veggies and fruits. Washed all the parts put it together, washed the veggies and fuits, cut them to fit. Then I pressed the button ON. Nothing! The juicer was a dud! So I am getting a replacement today and will try again. Bummer!

As far as I am concerned you are star for loving cucumber juiced. I love it, sliced, in salads but just can't get the taste for it juiced.

Oh, I drink something with cucumber in it everyday. everyday I surprise myself with the things I drink. I never could have imagined me drinking lettuce or a cucumber. I love juicing. :)

When I got my first juicer I juiced red delicious apples and carrots. I am salivating just thinking about it. I was hooked and so were my kids. When I got my Vitamix I threw in everything but the kitchen sink. That was delicious too.

oh it sounds soooo good...wonder if I should dive in and do a juice fast too...I have yet to do one..but y'all are tempting me..lol.

I know this is a older thread.. And Iv been a member for a while.. But I just got my first juicer as well! Free on freecycle.. And Im looking for that "hooked" recipe for my family.. I did a lemon a few tangerines and apples on my own last night. Yum.
Anyway. My wife's not much for oranges so maybe the red delicious apples and carrots would be a good first taste..
