    I'm adding to juice right now, too, and it seems like I can handle a lot more that way. I've tried describing the feeling that garlic gives you. I know exactly what you're talking about. It's supertastic

    As always, it's a matter of degree. Most substances (even water) can kill if consumed to excess.

    I do recall once foolishly following a Richard Schulze cleanse recipe overly enthusiastically, thinking I could handle extra garlic in a citrus smoothie. BAD mistake - I put 6 cloves in this one smoothie and when I drank it it instantly made me heave so hard I literally (*literally*) thought I was going to both pass out and choke to death. A frightening experience and one I never intend to repeat!
    Thanks. This is the kind of input I was looking for. I'm a little concerned at how dramatically garlic thins your blood.

    Uh huh! I've done that with mushrooms. Ate 'em and about 30 minutes later, heaved. Ejected. Gone. Done.

    By the way, just to clarify, when I said 'heave' - I did mean in the sense of puking but I didn't mean in the nauseous sense, I just mean that my body was plain-and-simple trying to eject the stuff immediately - it was more 'mechanical' than nauseous, but extremely unpleasant all the same.

    You mean you've not tried his Eyebright? How about snuff? Ever put cayenne pepper into a deep cut? It's all good! :)

    A bit off-topic but since cayenne was brought up....

    An old story about a friend who just turned 87. She and some friends who knew and know her quite well were at a commune awhile back. There was a group of gents there who didn't speak English and they saw this older lady liberally sprinkling this red stuff on her food. Thinking it must be something good, they did the same. She ate it with no problem. They, well, they embarrassed themselves a bit. :)

    I guess it depends! If you're 4'9 and 70lbs, then yeah, an entire bulb is too much! But if you're an average sized adult it should be okay I think! If you're feeling ill then maybe swap a little of it for some onion just to get some variety?
