    Default Sprouting Question

I am sprouting for the first time this week. I started soaking garbonzo beans and have been soaking and rinsing for a about 2 days. and I see small spouts shooting up from the end of the bean. I am wondering if the bean section is supposed to disappear and only the sprout be visible or is the bean section supposed to remain visible along with sprout? Right now the bean section of the plant is not disappearing, so I am hoping I sprouted correctly.

i'm not sure if you've eaten sprouted beans before, but if not, you might want to start with a very small amount. When I first went raw, I was all excited about making sprouted bean chili, and I got really sick. I no longer eat beans at all. As for how they should look, the ones I bought from my farmers market were about how you describe.

The bean section stays. I like chick peas not so much now for similar reasons to Speltrong. They are easy to reach over-kill on!
