I would've taken a picture but I was too excited and ate it all up I gave my mom some to taste and she couldn't believe it was raw or banana based.
Tomorrow marks the first day of Ramadan, this will be my first time fasting on raw! July's been great - thanks for all the help and support everyone :)
YAY SUCCESS! I was thinking about using date paste the next time so i'm glad to here it worked out well. Glad you and your mom enjoyed! My friend is from pakistan and we had her last lunch together since she too is starting Ramadan. It's only 16 hours of fasting and i use to do that when i was intermittent fasting it's almost the same concept lol! Good luck and have fun on your trip !!

I'm sorry to hear this, how long were you on high fruit? I got some nasty headaches sometimes whenever I would do weeks of high water fruit. Ugh, it was such a pain. :/

Compared to me? Have we spoken before? Dang I'm pretty good with faces. Protein is very satiating for most people. Eating high fruit is a feeling that does take awhile to conquer, that is for sure! =)

I am in Canada, & our fruit here is off the wall $$$ too. I actually pay though the same amount for the food I bought on Mainstream SAD & now. Although when I first came to Raw, I thought it was fruits & veggies only. But than I thought I was doing it wrong, & that I was supposed to buy a dehydrator, spices, oils, Chlorella, Juicer...I was so flippin confused. I didn't have $$$ for that stuff. I kinda got side tracked. Although I've learned so much in the past 1.5 years. & It is real cool to find all of these Raw dishes on Alissa's site. Like this one lady created cinnamon rolls, wow they looked AMAZING! It's been a great experience, there is so much to learn about natural healing & foods. But now I do things my way. I like juicing my greens, & I enjoy growing wheatgrass. It's fun to ship in some peruvian olives from time to time!! =) & once I had the exact right conditions in my fridge, & ended up with some 'dehydrated' kale chips.

Do you have a history of disordered eating at all? I know that is quite personal, but I was on another site where 99.999% of the time when womyn experienced bloating & what not & weight gain, it's because their bodies were in a healing mode, usually due to restricting of calories. & OMGOSH!! did I NOT want to hear that I was anyone that was restricting, SERIOUSLY girrrl. I was like I'm coming from 2500-3500 cals/day, I am def not in that category. But I did restrict at that amount. It's still something I battle within the 'diet' (what we eat) & how it works scientifically.

I'm feeling like you had a possibly poor experience with a low fat high fruit raw. Or at least the people that you were connecting with at that time. I KNOW the feeling.

I dis-approve of "correctly", let's totally drop that word in the Raw Realm, & just RAWK it! =D

Ahh I see, thanks MysticTree for pointing it out. I guess I just needed to re-read my quote at that given time!! =) I just felt there were a few misconstrued points that were being made. Such as to not be afraid of fats. & having to eat so many calories. It's kind of an oxymoron. lol :)
For me, I eat enough calories that I don't need to restrict my protein. My nails grow long strong thick & healthy. Although a few months ago, I was like what is going on!?!?, my nails are weak & chipping & peeling. Than I just upped my variety. & as you can see I haz the musclez x)

I am new to RAW eating. Is there a menu plan to start with - what to eat for breakfast/lunch/dinner . I got the book Living on Live Food - and although it covers alot of material - it does not say how to plan your day.
